Hobby, I saw that term here, I liked it so much I stole it from them. I don't know who to give credit to, I can't remember who it was.

Freewheat,
You missed the point on Desiccation of Fabas.... If you do Not Kill them.... they may not die.... EVER... until the snow falls and the shatter out over winter...?
Reglone for seed fabas is registered. We spray by Sept 5 if we want to take them off in good shape.

Free I got down to 240 acres of oats last night left. If you were my neighbour and I was done I would help finish but to many miles in between.
Good luck.
Rain pattern is the same all year. Maybe it is a good thing if it continues as next year in El Niño we will have a great crop again. Hey its a positive for all this mud.
Cant get a crop off if all you get is rain then cool no wind then finally sun and one day then rain again. Repeat.
Yes Most are done in our area but their still are guys going. Harvest 15 isn't over yet.

Finished my Fabas friday. They were sprayed with Glyphosate Sept 15ish, there were a couple misses and they were grass green in those spots, frost to -7 and some mature seeds are black but the plant didn't even wilt. Seems the pods didn't open in those areas as the sample didn't change (but opened some by hand any the seeds were small, soaking wet and soggy)
Did a germ test on the kitchen counter and it is 80% right now, will it drop over the winter? I was worried about Glyphos and germination but...)

My beans were not even close to being ready to spray by the 10th or 15th of September.
I combined a hopper at 17 the other day, but then switched to swathed canola because I feel the beans will weather FAR better than canola will.
So it is not like my beans are not ready if the rain stops.
Thanks for the concerns.
Supposed to rain and snow today, and then get nice for three or four days, and then again rain.

I do it myself.concaves heavy and awkward but now have a bit of a system and can do it less than 2 hours and not rushing at it.By myself. Many trips from side to side making sure things slid in proper.Tried doing a late spot around a slough without changing and peas busted up badly. They went to pig barn so no big deal but Sure seen the difference

IH sure smartened up with 8010 , can change 7 of the 8 concaves in less than 10 mins , the last one is hard to get at , usually 4 is all that is necessary . they are a dream compared to 88 series . quite light . can blank them in a couple mins .
