Friday Crop Report on a Thursday!

Well another week and what a F$%K Show. Rain on Sunday morning right over top of us. When we finished Saturday night after bag full and all three semis plus cart with a full moon over head and no clouds we called it a night. Ha at 5 am a freak storm passed over and dropped 3/10.
Then we got going on Monday Took the rest of the canola tough and dried it down to dry. Finished up and Tuesday the wet snow arrived then snow on Wednesday morning.
So basically were down to two quarters of not so good oats as I haven't been impressed with those fields all year.
    So here it goes.
Lots of fall work taking place with guys doing whole fields with Cultivator or Kelly or protill. Some banding but our area isn't really into fall banding. Some broadcasting yesterday. But basically its make it black in our area. Those who had black fields their yields were way above the non touched fields in our area.
Funny on a drive north yesterday their was still fields all way from Regina to PA still out here and their. So Sask ag and Food F#$K you that harvest is over it just rubs salt in the guys with crop out.
Look on the latest October map were in the 125 mm for the month. Yea perfect harvest weather.
This wet cycle has issues and one main one is the damage that the land has taken from all the water. Water in Excess does so much damage its unexplainable. But we continue on.
On the positive if this cycle continues and El Nino does happen we should catch a few timely rains next year and win the crop lotto next year. Here is to out guessing mother nature. The Bitch always wins.
Have a safe and great weekend as maybe just maybe Saturday is the day to finally finish harvest 2015.
Be safe and remember its only a crop that every one gets a piece of before your left with the crumbs for doing all the work.
