Craig Oliver said something very unprofessional the night of the election and for the life of me I can't remember but you could see the look on his face when he was done that he thought he may have crossed the line. When they cut back to the panel there was an awkwardness and finally a little later one of the pundits commented on it.

Farmaholic you are right on....I am shocked at how biased and unprofessional Craig Oliver and the whole CTV gang is, and couldn't believe they went so far on election night. CTV used to be an objective news channel but not anymore. I never thought I would say that I find CBC more fair and better viewing.
Say what you want about Harper, he wasn't flashy or Hollywood, or dramatic or news media savey, he was an economist and administrator of tax dollars plain and simple whether you agreed with him or not.
He didn't give the news media an inch and for that he was called non transparent.
Justin will give them lots to write and report about and we will see his face every day for the next 4 years....it will be a Canadian Camelot. Augh sigh to be so lucky to have another Trudeau in power. I was a teen the last time a Trudeau ran Canada and screwed the west and the countries finances. Just think my children's generation (the mellenials) elected the current Trudeau...they haven't seen 15-20% interest rates and 12% unemployment etc., and just think, the same debt that daddy ran up is still sitting on the books for Junior to look after...wow fun times ahead. Maybe the pot tax will pay back daddies debt and we will all be too stoned to know what's really going on.
Anyways nice to see all the dinasours roaming the halls of Canadian Parliment again. Mccallum and Dion and Goodale....OMG.

I remember trying to buy my first 1/4 of land in 1982 and my dad and I were agreeing that it would really be good if we got a 15% interest rate...I might be able to make it work. Thinking back....that's how sick and screwed up we were at the time...desperate for a 15% loan rate. My dad paid 2-3% for 30 yr money in 1958 for his first land...I thought I would never see that....bought my last 1/4 with 2.85% last year...it took Grant Devine 8% interest buy down program in the 80's to make up for the Trudeau screwed up monetary policy to make my first purchase fly. Hey 18-25 year old farmers are you listening.....history can repeat itself....watch out!

If you treat the media with disdain and make them your enemy for ten years , you will get rants even if they are unproffesional. Harper started it. As I recall PET did the media no favours, but at least he talked to them.
