Good point Agstar77.....PET did talk to the media....he talked down to them...lol....Harper should have done that too but he was to boring of a person to play with them. It's all history now..right!
The news media needs and deserves someone savy to screw wth their collective mind.

It doesn't take that Agstar. The media everywhere is out of control. They now see themselves as entitled gods, and can in fact wield tremendous power.

Floyd Robertson was seen by many as a balanced, fair reporter. A story involving me aired by CTV and introduced by Floyd featured such biased comments by Floyd that many people responded calling for his resignation. Floyd and Craig Oliver are best friends. Gods? Hardly. Assholes? Most definitely.

Winston Churchill said something to the effect :Never get in a pissing match with people that buy ink by the gallon.

Churchill also said "We will never give up, whatever the cost may be". This applies to citizens vs the media as well.

Lot's of predicting and complaining, let's a least wait and see what Justin does before judging. No doubt there will be mistakes made. Definitely connects with Canadians at a more personal level then Harper ever did.

Braveheart....sorry you got slammed by the elite news media. You are right they are out of control on every level. From Lisa Laflamme to the local newspaper...they can't write or report a story that is completely true without bias and sensationalism. This goes for the Kevin Hurshes and Sean Pratt's and the Craig Oliver's and Lloyd Roberstons and The Toronto Star or the NY Times. Watching or reading the news today becomes a true or false decision on content. Some day some one with substance will get some traction and sue these people into the dark age for all the collective years of crap reporting. Thanks to these sites us little people can fight back in our own way. Lol.

Back to appointed cabinet posts.... do you think there were too many "symbolic"/"token" appointments?

                ALWAYS use qualifications.....

Interesting....we came over and changed things for the First Nations, now we are not happy with changes coming down the pipes...perhaps its Karma....;-)

And they thought Harper was arrogant? And then they put on a parade for all to see, making a huge show of THEMSELVES being sworn in.

Under the guise of being in touch, and "reachable" to all Canadians.

Makes me sick. They have no idea what arrogance means. First day on the job, and they parade around like they are all that.

                      Doing things differently all right.

Stephane Dion in foreign affairs. Just in time to sell us to the UN and IPCC. Carbon tax anyone?

I just read that the ministry of the environment is the Environment and CLIMATE CHANGE portfolio. Sick.

Only appointment that pisses me off is Dion for Foreign Affairs. Really? A spineless pipsqueak that can barely speak English. I detested Baird in the role, but at least no one was going to push him around and people knew what he said and meant when he spoke.

Forage, a different way of farming on the prairies was the story. Front page story in The National Post. We had calls from White Rock, BC wanting to do business. Next day same idea trashed in The Globe and Mail editorial and we got, literally death threats from Toronto. CTV News only reads The Globe or The Glib as it seems.

Forage, I'm a survivor, an overcomer. I relate so much to Freewheat. The Post question leading the story was, "what are you planting next year? My answer, Fenceposts."

The PETA people didn't like the picture of me petting a Simmental.

Well Forage, maybe they should. There are good lessons in all those stories. I, for one, am proud to be here. My story is nothing special. Different boots, same dirt.
