Sask Gov Advertising and Election Ad

Sask appears to subjected to the same type of government self promotion ads as the last Federal Government was accused of. They've been going on quite a while.

Also, tonight I noticed the first (to me) election style ad saying we shouldn't go back to the way it used to be/was. April 4/16 election day.

Personally, I can't see this province going any way but the Sask Party.

Oh shit, maybe the whole province should vote Liberal Red. ...show the Feds we are in on the "Love In". (I'm holding my open hand on my chest over my heart as I post this, no free hand to wave with).

If we had an ounce of brain that is what we would do for one term there would be no excuses for there not to be a good working relationship with Ottawa.

But I think there will be a better one anyway. What the f did Stevie accomplish with saskatchewan?
The energy east pipe line would have never proceeded with Stevie wonder less I believe it will now.

Two different levels of Government. But neither Provincial or Federal representation being the same as the Federal right now...?

I never even got a flyer in the mail from the Federal Liberal candidate in my constituency. If I hadn't googled who it was before election day I wouldn't have even known who he was. Just names on a ballet.

On a Federal level if these guys would seriously do something for the west maybe the more recent generations could see a reason for voting for them and all the Elephants(people with long memories) would as well.

It was a post about Sask's upcoming election though...

i am pretty sure those ads are from the sask. party funds. not govt.
unlike the federal con.s that wasted
millions on the action plan ads.

            Wall's record.

            1. Building a ring road back into the city.

            2. Building a stadium with no roof.

            3. Told BHP to **** off to protect potash as a strategic resource but didn't have the kahunas to call cp or cn to give farmers that same courtesy.

            4. Is currently giving a 100 million dollar infrastructure to 40 farmers for nothing.

            5. Carbon capturing money for cenovus. More than likely where his board seat is.

            6. Goat paths for highways.

            7. New hospitals with no parking.

            8. Links to the CPP land deal.

Etc.etc. nothing really to visionary there.

You forgot the "smart meters". There's some encompassing accounting coming down the pipe soon.
There's an election coming and the record will speak for itself but in the land of blue I think he'll be pretty safe until the Liberals or NDP ramp up. Gotta remember, we were orange for a long time. Blue should be cautious not to rile the troops, because as we've seen in the very recent past, tides turn on a dime.

Swenson is making noise. With the right moves and right people they could make wall stand up and take notice.

Saskpower should have people reading meters. The last outage with the wind made me think they can have their meter reading job as long as they are prepared to work in some shitty weather. And probably cheaper than the smart meter liability.

bucket what is number 4 ?

Wall was lucky enough to hit some good times, and for the most part has been playing Conservative lite.

                  smart that way.

                  so far not privatizing Sask.power
like the stupid asses in Ontario.

they are acting like Devine did.
short sighted , selling off assets to pay for goodies now.

maybe it is wishful thinking but i do not think wall is that stupid .

                    Sawfly

The rumour has it they are going to gift the infrastructure of the irrigation around lake diefenbaker to the farmers.

They get it for free to hand over the costs of maintaining it.

Sort of like if your dad gave you the farm and all you had to do is pay for fuel maintenence costs. Not the actual assets.

The pumpsite pipeline power lines etc are worth at least 100 million today. To build the same thing would cost 500 million today.

It's a 4 million dollar subsidy to each farmer.

What do dryland farmers get? SFA.

Those spuds are made of pure gold. Some governments are dead against public ownership, I guess. I'm not quite so right wing.

And yet the farmers down there think of themselves as capitalists. In reality they are the biggest socialists there could be.

Get the government to build you an infrastructure so you can actually grow a crop then get it gifted to you.

The government built the water pipeline infrastructure. Haven't made a nickel from it.

Now wants to give it away.

It should be like my sask energy and saskpower bills - charge the users the cost of water and a profit.

Maybe someone will finally wake up that irrigation doesn't pay unless it's publicly funded.
