Just read canada will be forced to accept an unlimited amount of foreign workers and any spouces. Does anybody know if this is correct?

    Kind of sounds important.

If it fits the corporate agenda it could well be in there. That's what these deals are about after all - nothing to do with what is good for the average Canadian.

i tried to read and understand some of the text of parts the agreement.
              good luck try it

i think what it means is that if you have the most money and can hire the most lawyers.
it will mean what ever you want.

if lawyers can even understand it.

so even if a politician pretends
              they know what it means
              their lying.

basically the politicians do not have a clue what they are signing.

                cotton just read your link.
i should have done that first.

if true, it just goes to show that this stuff.
is not on the agenda of any political party, even conservatives.

it only serves big money? big capitol.
                more globalization,
                states or country's are meaningless.

all it is , is freedom to move their
capitol, where ever , when ever, under protection of state law.

move the cheapest workers to where ever they have their plant. what ever country.

the little bit i read was about the state, not doing anything to impair the profitability of corporations.

does that mean in 10-15 years when every seed on the planet is controlled by 4 corporations.

and the govt. / people decided it was costing too much , for food , and wanted to breed their own public varieties.
                that would impair corporations profitability.
                would it be illegal?

                it just begs the question.
who actually makes the laws or the deals our govt. signs ?

does any one on here really believe that Gerry Ritz , or any other cabinet minister for that matter. actually understands what we signed up for.
                no way.
go read some of it, and come back and tell us what it means.

For crying out loud **** the laws. Change them. Grow a set and stand up for whats best for the country and its citizens. Until corporations have their own armies they can go **** themselves if tbey think they are more powerful than the citizens of the nation as a whole.

Is there really international law that places people before corps. Are trade agreements being signed in front of some sort of international court or between countries only. NAFTA, TTIP, and now TPP can all pack sand if they get in the way of our Countries sovereignty and abilty to protect it's citizens. Is there really anything Canada doesn't have or could produce on its own without being held hostage buy some Asshole Corp protected by some trade deal?

In four more days its Remembrance Day. People died fighting tyranny. Is Corporate monetary tyranny over people any less evil? International Corporate profits before people, screwy priorities.

During the election like many the details were not out but I kept seeing chatter from other countries stating they were guaranteed different things in the deal quotas etc. The minute you apply a condition it is no longer a free trade deal.

Wouldn't it be fair to say if it was a free trade deal truly, you would need about a one line document saying the following goods will be traded without conditions freely between the following countries with the current rules and regulations of business operation in each country to apply?

If Stevie had anything to do with it agriculture will not be the beneficiary unless by accident.

Yes pretty disgusting, the middle class does not stand a chance. Agreed to behind closed doors without any transparency. The bribery and extortion of our politicians astounds me. Or are they that stupid to think free trade agreements with third world countries without any standards is actually going to benefit the citizens of Canada? At some point there will be a straw that breaks the camels back. The average Canadian is already stretched to the breaking point, and the prospect of good paying jobs are rapidly dwinding. They have *****d out our resouces to companies like Vale and Rio tinto who offshore all the raw material for processing. Then they flooded our economy with cheap immigrant labour because of a so called need. Instead the immigrants milk our system for everything its worth and send the money offshore. Whatever is left of Canada will be off shored with TPP. Good luck next generation of Canada (hell even this generation) you'll need it.

there was another area with exceptions.
                              or side letters.

there were some provisions for countries to be exempt when it comes to public health issues.

                              epidemics or infectious illnesses.

but the impression , i got was ,
say the state wanted to mass produce
some off patent generic drug to reduce health care costs.

                              that would be a violation.(maybe)

and from that you would assume that whom ever was the current producer could sue that govt. for lost profits.

if it all was free trade
then it would just say free trade.

you can not get out your credit card
and order a generic drug or ag chemical from china. nope

but the corp.s that make them want to use the lowest labor costs and taxes
                              in the world.

even apparently, gathering a work force from the cheapest spots.on the planet.

save your money on educating your kids , i am sure, Asia has tons of educated people willing to come over as temporary workers, and work for 1/2 the money.

why are we even bothering electing
govt.s , when all rights to actually do anything have been signed away .
                              thanks again Mr. Harper
