Hey thanks SaskCanFarmer for helping me to decide on who to vote for.

We need to get good people on the commissions to ensure our concerns are brought forward and people aren't just in there for the money and our levies are spent wisely.

I like your choices and reasons why - my vote goes for Sefton, Lindsey and Reiter who might stand a chance with a more forward thinking board.

Stonepicker, I voted for them and I feel it became a high price to pay for one benefit. They are definitely business oriented but note for my two bit operation.

The second post was a smartphone issue, I wasn't pushing the issue. Sorry.

Back on track to the candidates...

You would have to contact sask barley and ask for a refund form, most have to be filled out by aug31 for the previous year.

Farmer2015 - Can't go wrong with those picks I think. I'm still struggling with Reiter. Did she have her chance and kinda blew it and should maybe Hepworth get a chance to do better?!

Saskcan farmer, thats very insightful. Organic farmers dont represent 99% of farmers.......exactly.
They had to figure out alternative marketing strategies years ago.

Looking at the existing delegates there are some young forward thinkers, skin in the game, raising young families.
I think there is even a farmer of the year. What more do you want?
Why not go backwards and vote for the organic guy? He might just know stuff.

i have never ask for my levees back.
even when the boards have been against my political views.
if i was a good capitalist, it would be a no brainier, to ask for it back.

it is probably a stupid idealistic thing that will probably cost me in the end.
but whatever we are selling , wheat canola, barley .
i think we need a voice for that product.
it will not be the power of the
                          chemical or seed lobby's,
                          but at least something.

as for who to vote for , i do not know.
like most here we are too busy farming to keep track.
so it sits on the counter
