There is a screening process for immigrants and refugees. Canada already brings in 250 to 280 thousand immigrants per year. You won't even notice 25000 more. The risks are overstated. How many people do you personally know killed b y terrorists? How many died in traffic accidents? Traffic accidents and impaired driving are a much bigger threat to most families. Immigration is used for economic reasons to grow the economy and fill jobs that many Canadians won't do. Just ask employers about all the Filipino employees. They generally work very hard and integrate well. if you have'nt noticed Harper and company courted the recent immigrant vote. It didn't work this time. But multicultural Canada is here to stay.

The only one misled about immigration numbers is you, all you have to do is look on the gov. website to know how many immigrants are coming into the country yearly. And how are your illegal imigrants getting in? This isn't the mexican, U.S. border. The numbers are very minimal. And i'll take mexicans, filipinos anyday! Hard working people. I agree riders, it is already here. I'm not talking about the latest ( promised ) 25,000 . Where does the average canadian want to see canada go? Christmas has been taken out of schools, the muslim community in Wpg. wanted girls and boys to have phys. ed. separately , in britain the muslims wanted the holocaust taken out of the history books because it was offensive to them. The muslims are openly racist against jewish people and they teach their kids that hatred at a very young age. Why do we want people like that in canada?That's what i'm talking about. Just wondering is Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan who served in Bosnia and Afghanistan, Canadian enough for you guys?

He immigrated from India when he was five, and is a Sikh. I know he is not a Muslim but he is also not a Christian.

As for Harjit as our defence Minister, I think he deserves it more than Mackay ever did!!!
