lie detectors sound like a good idea.
desperate times call for desperate measures.
they might not have legal standing.
but if you failed , you go back.

there are bound to be bad ones in the mix.
but is refusing them all the same as ,
not letting the jews escape the Nazis .

It's too bad the US, Israel, Turkey and a few others initially funded the syrian freedom fighters who became isis and gave them all those weapons in syria to fight Assad, marched right back into a governmentless Iraq, scooped up all the US military tanks, guns and Humvees that were laying around and voila was a full fledged army that took over the place accumulating money, oil sales and more weapons all along the way back to syria

They really didn't think that one thru now did they.

Grassfarmer....no implication made of racism. I hate that word and it is a product of a politically correct culture we have become that have people jumpung to immediate conclusion to invoke some feeling of guilt or resonsibility. I raised PM Thatcher to the debate as she was a strong leader who would not tolerate the going ons in the Middle East of Islamic terrorism and the consequences that out current leaders seem prepared to sit idly by hoping we can just talk about it and it will magically go away. Only when severe situations arise that have leaders now looking for solutions. Thatcher would be leading from the front allowing law enforcement and military every advantage to overcome this threat. Climate change seems to be the bigger enemy now to some of our current leaders.

I just read that the brother of one of the suicide bombers was questioned by Belgian police four hours after the bombing and was released. Too bad, but now they will be able to hone in on him and his friends and acquaintances. That cell may be expunged. But of course no one knows how many cells and training camps are in operation in the world. Word is that next attack is setting up in Britain. I have read that many strong lazar lights being aimed at landing airliners. Police need sophisticated trackers to get a lid on crazies. No need to waste resources on a few speeding cars.

CP, did you also read the report "What is France doing in Syria"?
Just trying to wrap my head around all of this...and how do you help the innocent that are labelled only because they from Syria.....

France is lashing out at Syria but the home grown terrorists are just as dangerous. All police resources must follow through on France's promise to hunt them down and destroy "them"? The language barrier alone must be a giant obstacle. But the intelligence way back in World War II without all this technology was shocking, and technology's growth is exponential, so what's the problem? Tracking them should be ultra facile but oops they had one of them at the Belgium border and let him go. Now they don't know where he is. Jeez!

If the people of France were as well armed as our American friends these kinds of attacks would be much less tragic. A unarmed population is a perfect target for these radical Islamist cowards.

as much as i hate to say it . it is war and the french will have to arm a good chunk of citizens.

that said isis will just find another method.

what a mess . old Saddam Hussein don't look so bad now does he.

it is beginning to look like a ground war, will be inevitable .

drive isis back and get rid of Assad too, so the refugees can go back .
(and it still would not be fixed)

the west and Russia have played a dangerous game over there for 50 years.
now it is blowing up in both their faces.

Sawfly, the West has played a dangerous game in the Middle East since the Crusades. Sending armies in there to save "Christendom" was just an excuse to grab more lands and power. It's always about the money.

The irony is the current Pope is calling for peace. The Popes of the 1100's started it all.

Yes read that. Hard to keep up.

I think the article is important because it shows a mindset and maybe a future.

Isis will probably almost be wiped off the map in the next little while which is what they want. Then what?unless peace and prosperity break out, which wont,Muslims will get more and more and more frusturTed and the flag will be picked up again and again. Isis is creating a rally point.

Don't think it matters if Muslim, any group thinking they are getting the shaft, or has extremists, will be an issue....had it in Ireland, Quebec...on and on...

Ralph goodale and the liberals jailed canadian farmers for selling their own wheat. They are letting 25000 syrian refugees into this country virtually unvetted. Do you feel safer now?
