Good point. Thought I have read that factions in Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait and others have supported sunni rebels.

Blackjack, you got it! why is US buying Middle East oil? between themselves and their allies, supply is adequate. If Middle East wants to play that game, keep your stinkin oil.

Why haven't the bombing missions been taking out these facilities that ISIS has been using to load oil tankers, or pipeline pumping stations? Selling/shipping oil is their greatest source of income? Why are U.S. lead bombing sorties returning with all their bombs still on board for nearly half the missions. Likely cause they have no intel on the ground.

            Hmmmmm,.....

Why did Obama cancel Keystone XL??
They could of replaced Saudi oil with Canadian oil for their Gulf of Mexico refineries.

What about oil east pipeline? Why do we still import oil? We are just as guilty.

                Good points all around.

And why the recent moratorium on loading tankers off the west coast, thus maintaining our dependency on blood oil?

                  Great point!

Eastern Canada should import ZERO Saudi oil.

I guess dirty oil is worse than bloody oil.
There is so much more going on behind the scenes .
The US wants Assad out and Rusia wants to keep him. After the US took out several leaders in the area , Putin is saying enough. The US basically created ISIS - but lost control of it. Now it's a world problem to deal with the fallout.

It's hard to know the REAL truth. Who knows how deep Dick Cheney, Haliburton, or any other low life's are woven into the blood oil web?

Who's buying the oil? China. The US imports very little OPEC oil. Most of their oil is domestic followed by imports from Canada and Mexico. Canada imports Venezualan oil primarily.

Seems like the whole region is in turmoil when you watch the news. I do feel sympathy for the poor families being displaced. I wonder how many radicals there really are in the region.

I wonder where the UN is on this crisis. Was that not the idea to form this sometimes useless organization to help refugees. To help set up safezones until the possibility of someday going back home.

I thought that many of you believe only market forces should decide where to allocate resources? Sounds like a lot of you are advocating for some sort of National Energy Plan.
