Well, if your going to start bean counting, why didn't you mention the $2.4 billion surplus Harper was bragging about during the election for this fiscal year, which in reality is a $3 billion deficit.

Must be a slow day on the golf coarse!!!

You mean the $3b deficit that the PBO calls $1.2B?

Every new government plays that card. Everytime.

Not a "spin doctor", it's in the National Post, the same paper Ranger found his story in.

Picker, you've never come across as being an "optimist" based on your posts, but rather kinda bitter. It goes way back, even before Oct 19/2015.

Just remember Sunny ways, and even your demeanor could improve! Have a nice night!

"Every new government plays that card. Every time!"

Don't recall Harper playing that card when he inherited the $13 billion from Martin in 2007.

Is that your way of trying to delegitimize me and what I've posted?

The point is that the Liberals campaigned on doing one thing and within a month after being elected did the opposite. Something that is both true and will only be mentioned once by one or at most 2 players in the mainstream media. #NotaToryNotaStory

                  Nice diversion though forage.

Read the link you provided from the National Post, and there was a sentence that went:

"Canada’s new government may be about to embark on a partisan advertising spending spree of its own"

There is the word MAY in the sentence, so IF, it happens the total bill will be $630 thousand dollars. I agree it's money that should NOT be spent.

I also heard that PM Trudeau more than likely will not allow the Memorial to the Victims of Communism be built in front of the Supreme Court of Canada on a piece of land worth $16 million. So if it does get built they can find a parcel of land a lot CHEAPER than $16 million.

This is a big savings to the taxpayers of Canada.

So Ranger, what do you and Picker have to say to that???

                    Sunny ways, keep researching guys!!

<i>"the total bill will be $630 thousand dollars."</i> A nationwide ad campaign to convince us of the virtues of a Liberal campaign promise will only cost $630K eh? I've got some ocean front property in Saskatchewan I'd happen to have for sale for exactly that amount too. Interested?

As far as the Memorial to the Victims of Communism goes; Do you really find it surprising that Trudeau would stop the erection of a monument that highlights the atrocities of governments like the one of "Uncle Fidel" - pallbearer at his Dad's funeral? Handy that he can frame it as saving money though. If only he thought saving a couple $billion from breaking the "import 25,000 refugees by new years" was as much of a priority as breaking the "get rid of partisan advertising" promise.

Never heard that one before, ocean front land in SK. I always thought they were land locked! Learn something everyday!

Can't find anywhere that it states PM Trudeau is cancelling the Communist Memorial, just that it's not being built on a $16 million dollar piece of land in front of the Supreme Court of Canada.

How's AZ.? Now that's Sunny ways!

Not sure where the Trudeau government will build it, but I'm sure there's a piece of land a lot cheaper than the $16 million. Good move by PM Trudeau!!

Comparing AZ. to Guantanamo Bay and accusing me of being criminal, that's a big difference.

                              That's not very Sunny ways
