    Risk Management... and the 'Singularity'

The exponential growth of the computer industry... Artificial Intelligence Singularity predictions... are all a part of the C02 political landscape today.

This is about the money... and the shaping of future humanity... to be slaves to feed this exponential growth industry!

Carbon Based life forms are not needed![Irony Intended]

    Background:

    Likely cause: exponential growth[edit]

Ray Kurzweil writes that, due to paradigm shifts, a trend of exponential growth extends Moore's law from integrated circuits to earlier transistors, vacuum tubes, relays, and electromechanical computers. He predicts that the exponential growth will continue, and that in a few decades the computing power of all computers will exceed that of ("unenhanced") human brains, with superhuman artificial intelligence appearing around the same time.
The exponential growth in computing technology suggested by Moore's Law is commonly cited as a reason to expect a singularity in the relatively near future, and a number of authors have proposed generalizations of Moore's Law. Computer scientist and futurist Hans Moravec proposed in a 1998 book[25] that the exponential growth curve could be extended back through earlier computing technologies prior to the integrated circuit. Futurist Ray Kurzweil postulates a law of accelerating returns in which the speed of technological change (and more generally, all evolutionary processes[26]) increases exponentially, generalizing Moore's Law in the same manner as Moravec's proposal, and also including material technology (especially as applied to nanotechnology), medical technology and others.[27] Between 1986 and 2007, machines' application-specific capacity to compute information per capita has roughly doubled every 14 months; the per capita capacity of the world's general-purpose computers has doubled every 18 months; the global telecommunication capacity per capita doubled every 34 months; and the world's storage capacity per capita doubled every 40 months.[28] Like other authors, though, Kurzweil reserves the term "singularity" for a rapid increase in intelligence (as opposed to other technologies), writing for example that "The Singularity will allow us to transcend these limitations of our biological bodies and brains ... There will be no distinction, post-Singularity, between human and machine".[29] He believes that the "design of the human brain, while not simple, is nonetheless a billion times simpler than it appears, due to massive redundancy".[30] According to Kurzweil, the reason why the brain has a messy and unpredictable quality is because the brain, like most biological systems, is a "probabilistic fractal".[31] He also defines his predicted date of the singularity (2045) in terms of when he expects computer-based intelligences to significantly exceed the sum total of human brainpower, writing that advances in computing before that date "will not represent the Singularity" because they do "not yet correspond to a profound expansion of our intelligence."[32]

    this is 'Intelligence'!???

9/11... Paris... Syria... are these not an excuse/and allowed to be a part of the 'plot' to extend continuing computing 'AI' exponential growth!???

Isn't this all meant to drag us away from our real 'Spiritual Heritage' of faith hope and love... actually being the true/real reasons for existence...!!!?

For comparison sake, "singularity" between me and computer capacity/ability was met with the introduction of the "simple calculator".

A little self-deprecating humor this Sunday morning.

      Computing power to control everything...

By fewer and the more powerful... till the 'Singularity' is controlling...

      humans are too 'messy'

Artificial intelligence is being used for both good and bad. Its not so much what its being applied to as to who is applying it for what result.

Posted ray's stuff on here years ago. Brother has his masters in engineering we talk a lot about these things.

Met a tech guy in hawaii works at intells r&d told me a few things.

People have no idea what's about to happen.

Everything humanity has ever invented is about to be doubled.

Technology was promised to improve standard of living. It is becoming evident that this is not the case. Since the mid 70's standard of living has been on a steady decline, human labour is becoming obsolete. The trend at the recent ag show in Germany, robotics.

There are cars that drive themselves, cell phones are at 80% in Africa,a child in Africa has more knowledge then the United States president did in 1996,we can 3d print a home.

If you don't know who Ray is goto the back of the bus sit down and shut up.

If you actually follow one of the greatest minds walking around you will notice an underlying theme of how this tech could destroy us if the wrong hands get ahold of it

If you descide to know something about this world start with ray and who he is.

Does any of this require a tinfoil hat to prevent mind control from remote locations?

Ray is one of the heads at google r and d i doubt he gives a shit about what's going on in our brains here. Neither do i and neither should you. It's not like any high brow discussions are going on here bunch of monkeys throwing shit at a board seeing what will stick.

With in about 3 decades I will either be dead or too ****ing old to care, and honestly don't care much right now! Humans are the only creature on earth who have affected their own evolution the most. We will all return to exactly the same place we came, the electrical impulses and matter that make us up today will be returned to where they came, nothing lost!! The perfect recycling program. And all in an instant of time in comparison to the whole picture...enjoy your stay, as short as it is.

......and about fifteen threads ago there was discussion of how solar storms could wipe out anything electronic and our dependency on them.

Way beyond this sub-human primate's comprehension(assuming humans are on top of the list). Pass the bananas please....

It was blackberry into Apple into google but I'm not a tech guy but a very smart black man explained it to me years and years ago.
His name is Reggie the shit he has going on now would knock your socks off basically bitcoin on steroids.
