Darrell, I'm glad you have reached this conclusion using experience AND reason. Quite a few guys inherited the idea of the Wheat Board and they are unable to examine it with a clear eye. A little like the guy who keeps his dry cow for seven years, but he can't ship her out because she's quiet and her mother was a really good cow. He keeps hoping for a good calf.
What vexes me most is a flock of incompetents insisting upon centrally planning the business end of farming for producers, particularly when many of them were not financially successful on their own farms.
I cute and pasted this quote from the Regina Leader Post, where Rod Flaman addresses his District and states:
"A producer told me today he's very disappointed in me and I understand that," said Flaman. "That's why I'm bringing this information package here today to try to elevate those people to the level of understanding that I have, so they can understand why I changed my mind."
You obviously are one of those producers who needs your thoughts elevated, Darrell! Flaman went from stridently preaching we should be able to sell what we grow to 'Put them in jail if they don't sell to the Board.' Can you think of a five figure reason why Rod Flaman would change his mind, Darrell?
Parsley
