Truckers..... thank the railway executives for the lack of vision to see an opportunity.

And they sell that nonsense to shareholders.

The 20% in corporate tax should have happened along time ago....a lot of money left this province that should have been in province coffers...and none of the corps would have left.
Spoke to a former Con MLA, the majority of MLAs wanted to raise it back in Redford's day, but she wouldn't let them...democracy at it's best.
It is really sad when attacks are because of partisan politics and not on the merit of the action.

Perfecho I need to clear one thing up, I am not now nor have I been a supporter of the provincial conservatives for many years. What I am is a believer in is governments running balanced budgets and being fiscally responsible. The provincial conservatives have failed on this front for many years. Alberta needs a stable revenue stream that causes the least economic interference, I believe that is a sales tax. The present list of implemented and proposed taxes in Alberta fail on two fronts in my opinion, first the budget is not close to balancing and second in my opinion they will do far more damage to the economy than a sales tax would while generating less revenue. Forage I am sorry if that sounds to you like complaining, I think Alberta is a great place to live and I want my kids to enjoy the same quality of life I have.

Grass the NDP destroyed sask. When Devine got in he had baggage and it cost him plus like I said years of civil servants bred in government they were finished before they started.
But then the old guard came back in power and people started to wake up. Realizing these guys and their games would continue.
Then by the time Brad came along a change was taking place.
Good economy and people started coming back.
But funny after you guys elected NDP our union guys and gals and NDP supporters moved to help her run Alberta.
Like I said our rats all now are running your province.

I would agree on sales tax...but would leave corp where it is at.
Corp taxes have come down considerably in the last 50 years, put much of the burden on middle income......

You are entitled to your opinion but you are not entitled to rewrite history.
From Wikipedia. "Although Grant Devine himself was never implicated in any criminal wrongdoing, 13 out of 55 Conservative MLAs and staffers were subsequently charged with expense account fraud committed during Devine's second term, 1986–1991. Of these a handful were acquitted while some served prison time."

sf 3 what law or legislation did wall change that led to the boom.
                      none
or explain exactly what ever you believe they did that turned the economy around.
                      it is all plain BS.
while wall has not been that bad.
the turn around had nothing to do with the sask. party .
                      suspending all logic to believe
that fairy tale , you must just want to believe real bad

Just look at our history with the NDP.
I don't give a rats Ass what Brad Wall did or Devine.
Look at the NDP from Tommy boy up.
Then look at Alberta who went the other way.
                        Where are each.
Now you guys elect a NDP.
My god your in for one hell of a F$%K up.

                        Enjoy.

                        You will need it.

Oh please explain why two guys who bought land in Sask with the hope of selling their farms back in Alberta are now back in Alberta with their tails between their legs because the farms back home cant sell.
Really you guys must be booming according to some on here.

Alberta had been riding a phony commodities boom fueled by reckless central bank money printing and that has ended regardless of who is in power. The NDP of course will only make the downturn worse. Green energy policies will be worse than the tax changes. Even premier Wall was talking green energy last week. We need to use coal to generate base load power for a long time yet.

Ignoring the simple fact of when the resource boom took place in each province SF3 can lead you to making false conclusions.

Imagine the outrage and indignation if Notley were to introduce legislation giving the Government the right to extinguish your property titles (ie take your land) with no right to compensation and with the right to pursue it through legal avenues blocked.
The Alberta PCs did that - how could you get any more "communist" than that. Time to drop the silly right and left taunts and look at reality. Then you would see why the AB PC's got slung out, and needed to be slung out.

Where in AB are the farms not selling? Not too many places would not get a bid if the price is halfway reasonable. Lots of guys think there farm is worth a lot more than it is actually worth.

Alberta's secret to success has always been get up early, work late, and strike oil.

The economies in both Saskatchewan and Alberta have benefited from a boom in commodities.

Politicians and their supporters always like to take credit even when good times were not of their making.

As I pointed out in a previous post we already live in a somewhat socialist country for example:

                                1.Publicly funded universal health care.
2.Income transfers to Seniors for OAS and GIS.
                                3. Safety nets like EI and Welfare.
                                4. Progressive tax systems.
                                5. Equalization payments to poorer provinces.
                                6. Subsidies to farmers and other industries.
                                7. Free primary and secondary education.
