    MC,

Same here on 1020RR Nex on some special ground that Looked that good when I swathed it.

Some Soy ground that bloomed but didn't set seed in 2010... 2012 Peas... 2014 Flax/Penhold.

2015 was a unique year... perhaps the longer wetter frost free Septembers will repeat more often... and as C02 levels do climb.. we will see higher yields as a matter not unexpected. More harvesting capacity... Air bins.. all become important.

For guys that haven't seen what canola will do after manure it's something I keep trying to replicate with Chem fert and it's hard too something in the micro availability as well as big phos numbers I'm thinking we very n and under phos in canola. Going to try some phos trials next year and see if I see responses to up to 70 lbs an acre under the pivots.we have access to manure from feedlots but tend to shy away from it and just use what our calves and cows provide as I'm weed and fusarium shy.

Cuban - did you get your government drought payout yet ? If I remember - talkin about runnin your mouth off , you were saying how all big farmers should get a big payout because they make the whole AG economy run by themselves?
80 bus plus canola has happened on more farms more often than you may think . It's weird how when it is brought up the 6 yr old pout comes out in some guys.
A few guys with a field or two of big yields is not going to change the world overnight

It can happen and does in a good crop. That's how you get a great average on a quarter. High and low equal yield.

Canola grown on hog manure can be definitely amazing. We've had great yield results. However, on our farm it becomes a crop that is very difficult to harvest. Long straw and lodging is a problem.

L252 and L140P both respond dramatically to manure.

Seed her down and raise pasture pork..... leave the odd pothole for a wallow hole.... they will spread their "fertilizer" for free....

It pisses me off when guys get great yields and then spout off about it. if you get good yields that's great just don't broadcast it to the world. All it takes is a few guys posting these types of yields and the industry gets wind of it and what do you thinks gonna happen!!!Let's all grow 80 bu plus canola and then bitch the price is 8.00 a bushel.

BFW farms some of the best land in Canada if it doesn't freeze or hail. Decades of manure go a long way. I ran combine for one of his neighbors a many moons ago and it took me a while to accept those numbers but they were big long before we saw anything like that here in sask.

Cuba, you sound like one of those guys who is never happy. If you like, let me know the next time you are coming through Strathmore. I will meet you at the Husky and you can drop your pants and decide for yourself what size my pecker is.

At the end of the day what do you get paid on , how many acres you farm or how many bpa you get off the land you farm ?
Do these big yields make sense to 98% of us guys - not really today but they might someday.
It does show that varieties can and do produce huge yields if given the right environment and fertility. This will not be the norm at all now and may never be . But to shit on guys that had things click and did some extra agronomy to do it , is simply childish.
Good yields can happen by luck , very big yields are not an accident or by chance.
