Just listened to a Kansas banker tell a conference that most farmers are making enough to cover their fertilizer seed and spray plus land costs but can't cover the cost of machinery or even pay themselves.
So to all who say grow your way out of problems the best subsidized place left even their the farmers can't make a go of it at today's prices.
