    Ontario's Auditor General report

Interesting read in the National post on the release of this report. With the recent push to green energy in Canada everyone should read this. In Ontario natural gas, wind, solar and bio energy account for 16% of total production but account for 36% of generation costs. The price of electricity has increased from 6 cents a kWh to 10.7. Cents a kwh today. Ontarians have payed 37 billion more for power over this time period than they should have due to mismanagement by the government. Much more there give it a read!

Green energy climate change scam is very "progressive" though.

On the plus side sales of diesel and NG generators are strong.

So dalek, does Wynne's green energy plan include more bio fuels? Ethanol doesn't emit carbon upon burning. Any help for your local corn prices?

The ethanol fund and mandate were both in place before she became premier. I think the fund ends in 2017? Ethanol was a gamechanger, moved us from a net exporter to net importer and the basis changed to reflect that. She's made some small moves on biodiesel that really haven't kicked in much yet, and her legacy ag-wise will likely be encouraging tens of thousands of acres, if not more, to be covered with solar panels and wind turbines we don't need.

So lets not do anything on green energy?? Just continue to utilize oil and coal....think they said virtually same thing about horse and buggy....
First lab grown "meat" was $350,000 per patty, only a year or two ago....is now down to $11 per patty....
There will be a day some will be praised for "progressive" thinking.....IMHO....might not be in our time.

Perfecho my first question is did you read the articles on the National Post website? Secondly Kathleen Wynn had a great deal to do with Justin Trudeau's campaign and his present policies, this makes the corruption and incompetence of the Ontario liberals important to all Canadians.

Lets not do anything on green energy because they have not proven themselves to be useful. Big question: How long before the huge debts of Ontario and Quebec drag good ship Canuckistan under?

Ontario doesn't need oil, coal, solar or wind. The only bright light in her green policy was the tiny little bit they spent on some small hydroelectric projects, if they focused on that we'd be laughing.

                      What dalek said.

We all know that a business cannot operate forever by trying to debt-spend its way into prosperity, especially by making bad investments.

How can a government expect a better outcome?

Waterfalls for power generation - build waterfalls. If they damn up the South Saskatchewan for power generation, that might be one make work project. Grant Devine still around?

We have enough water flow and enough rivers to power North America

Comments more on the attitude than the article.. assume it was the article by Kelly Parkland.
I do get it...and I do shake my head in distain...but regardless of party, we seem to get the same crap. Here in Alberta, we had great power rates, then king Ralph and cronies decided that deregulations was the answer. (And then Jim Dinning left the conservative party to be vice president of Trans Alta Utilities) My last bill was over $.11 per kwh and this is mostly on conventional power.
So, although I spun off in another direction, I guess my point(s), somewhere along the line, we should look at alternatives and they will be costly initially ...and it really doesn't matter which party...it's politics.
I humbly give back your post...;-)

Dalek. It's considered dirty hydro power when you flood treed valleys. Just ask Quebec wanting power lines into the states to export their hydropower. Perhaps the same result as Keystone XL.
