Joe, if you're not willing to enforce your own site policy then perhaps change them. Or enforce them, its your decision and should not be ours.

The culture you allow and moderate on here is the culture that it will be. A sure sign is people leaving due to those who break the rules and you do nothing about it.

I've been here longer than most. One of the best things about Agri-ville is the lack of moderation. Spend time on other forums and some members have even created 'splinter' forums, inviting members to join, lured by the lack of moderation.

BTO has been an on-going problem for years, as he offends many (not me) and really doesn't offer anything in terms of meaningful conversation. Simple solution, ban his IP, not just his account.

I don't think we need any moderation 'rules'. When the majority on this site get uptight and want to rid someone from here, I think the solution is pretty simple. Beyond that, stay away from any moderating or 'three strikes your out' crap.

The can of worm thing has already started on this thread alone. We already have someone wanting to axe religion. What next politics. I do remember during election, freewheat made the comment about being a loser if you voted for Liberals, or NDP. Is not that a forum of bullying? Is that not running someone down?

This forum is self policing. If you are a complete idiot nobody will respond to your posts. Part of the point of these forums if for people to put ridiculous/unconventional opinions and thoughts out there for others to critique.

Its pretty easy to gloss over the threads that are not commodity related. Though BTO's comments were a low blow. Many forums have features that allow for a vote on certain topics like this.

I personally don't care whats done. My skin IS too old and thick to be offended by what is said on an internet playground. I come here to pick up on other's ideas. I will take what I want and leave the rest, simple. If you think this site is of no value you are dead wrong. The Industry is monitoring it and is listening. Trust me I know....

In some cases, I doubt the content of the message is as offensive as the way it is said.

BTO---who is he really. It seems to me that he is really just some guy on here to get everyone riled up. Sometimes he says things that are useful and funny and sometimes not,whatever.

Racist Comments---What is a racist comment anymore anyway. The minute someone doesn't like you or what you have to say about something goes against your ideology you seem to be a racist these days. Example...against Syrian refugees for any reason whatsoever well your obviously racist. you have a problem with social problems in sask or Canada with the way some groups are constantly given opportunity and funding while you make your own way ....RACIST! It goes on and on.

FREEWHEAT---You have been complaing on here how hard you have it well maybe others have it as bad or worse and just keep going. I worked 18 years in the oilfield and farmed at the same time. When my dad passed away my crop sat out and got rained on,hammered by geese and the like. No time off for me and no sympathy from work I got it after there was nothing left. Excess moisture yeah we have had our fair share. 40" in 2010 and that came after may 21. we still haven't recovered. Buried the grain cart this harvest been pulling out combines every year. seeding can be described as a joke really. You were offered help you should have taken it.

Im not defending bto by any means just saying that some people on here think that pushing their religion is ok but if someone swears well your outa here. Yes he is most likely someone I couldn't be around in person but at some point where will you draw the line on what can and cant be said here? If something offends me I just turn it off or skip over it. If a guy like this is bothering certain people on here so much how can you function on a daily basis in society when you cant handle a goofball on a ag chat website that you can simply scroll over.
Go ahead and ban him,dont ban him whatever its not going to have an effect on my life. This is a source of information and entertainment for me,not a religious channel.
