Harper did a great job of leaving cupboards bare. Why do you think he snuck the bail-in into the budget. Good Work buffoon. I don't forget.

Talking to provinces is something he may come to regret. Maybe not if every province elects a communist party, then it will be just like a family reunion. But even then with Notley and Wynne wanting everything for nothing, Trudeau may be salt and pepper, or even completely white in 4 years.

I guess that is why I dont join in on these posts much. I am to stupid. How can Trudeau have us broke, the good times the PC saw the last four five years, they should of had the reserves built up so much you thought it would of taken more than two months to go broke. HMMMMMMMMMM, somebody is lying about something. HMMMMMMMM

Well, in my hate em all, but give credit where due...
At least we have a PM talking to all provinces...that is Canada is made of...
seems to have 'some respect' on the world stage...something we were going backwards on....and believe in climate change due to people, real or not, the perception is out there...perception seems to become truth...and oil buyers are at least saying "hey, your going in the right direction.."
Generally positive...time will tell....

I would say the Conservatives 150 billion addition to the debt was a result of their minority position in parliament during the 2008 recession and the Libs and NDP telling them to use deficit financing to stimulate the economy. They also made some questionable tax cut decisions such as lowering the GST.
As for Trudeau breaking the country, you don't have to be an economist to see that he ran on a platform of increased spending and that is what he is doing. Combine that with OPEC's decision not to cut oil production which has sped up the decline in oil prices and hurt some aspects of Canada's economy more than initially predicted.
Then you have a Premier in Alberta who if you were an objective observer, you would think she disliked most of us. With new taxes at every turn, refusing to listen to farmers and the proposal to put a tax on the the fuels we need to stay warm and survive our northern climate. I am interested to see why she has delayed the results of the royalty review. Has their failed handling of bill 6 made them gun shy or are they wanting to get by the Christmas season before the next shoe drops?

Hamloc,
Well said.
If ExPM Harper [Who is/was stuck between the jaws of a working gravel crusher] was still in power... or if was in a minority position today...
they [PM in power]would have been forced into many of the same decisions... facing us right now.
Just LIKE:
Being on the top...
Driving this overloaded top heavy hay rack... holding the reins that go to a 'puppy dog' [Spending/borrowing QEmoney]
Pulling this 12foot[borrowed money] high overloaded hay rack...
It can't be thought of as easy Nor fun for anyone!!!

seems like the only way some will be happy is to have a Con government, corrupt or not...
Bill 6 was initiated by the Cons, ND's didn't deal with it right, did back down with much of the legislation, but the Wilted rose kept stirring the pot...and that pot boiled. Talked to a number of farmers lately who actually like the bill, but are too afraid to voice their opinion...and that is a real problem!

per,
READ my post again!
You are well versed in saying the opposite of what I meant!
Harper/Prentice were on top of the overloaded wobbly tippy Hay Rack...
Now it is PM Justin... and Premier Notley.
Looks to be to be BIG holes and washouts in the road ahead!!!
