I read two separate articles, one stated that by 2050 we would need to produce 70% more food to feed the growing population. The second article was on the Paris climate agreement in which the goal is a carbon neutral economy by 2050. I would think achieving either one would cancel out the other with today's technology imo.

The Paris agreement also calls for 100 billion dollars to be payed to third world countries most affected by climate change. Where will this come from? If you look at Canada in the short term I see a 20-25 billion dollar deficit this year with little chance of improvement for a few years I don't think we need to throw more money away. Just my thoughts have a good day.

Debt is no problem for Liberal's, Do you really think they're going to loose any slept over giving away 4 billion dollars of taxes sc****d away from workers to give to other countries? I don't for a second. If Margret's son can get his picture on the cover of another magazine, and be popular in other countries, it just adds to his legacy, In His Own Mind.

The 100 billion is payment is shared by all developed carbon producing nations not just Canada. The way it is worded it looks like it comes from just Canada, my mistake. It is still a lot of money for nothing.

One hundred billion would feed a lot of people in the third world. Need a few more boots on the ground, rather than the ivory towers, to see where the real problems lie.

Take it from the top 100 wealthiest individuals and 100 highest paid CEO's in the world - it would be pocket change for them. A nice tax write off considering their wealth most likely has come off the backs of these poor nations.

We need to see a little hunger in the right countries, not in the ones that will always be starving no matter how much food is produced.
