These yield challenges are a bunch of BS in my mind. Farmers are not in business to hit lofty yield goals they are in the business to make money without betting the farm on seed chem and fertilizer every year. This yield competition would be like if we measured the success of oil companies or car makers by how much oil and cars they produce. No, we measure success by profit and the risk it takes to get the profit!!!!
100 bu canola is a pipe dream, not going to say it cant be done 1 in 10 or 20 years but it isnt practical to put those levels of inputs across the farm every year so whats the point, move on. who cares.
