About the farm show, heard from a few different booths at new farm show northwest of Saskatoon this past summer that regina and its unionized, poor access, high priced, poorly timed gong show was quickly losing its appeal. Some said they would not go back to Regina. That would be just fine by me.

A new stadium with a roof and the farm show could have been held in poor weather in the off season.

Seems odd at the way they say how much money comes into the city for farm shows and in 30 years haven't looked at making it a more useable area.

Bucket, this is the difference between "how can we help" and "this is how it is, take it or leave it". Excited about show at stoon this summer. Dealers love the easy access, site cost is lower and room to expand is almost unlimited.

The Ag in Motion show near Langham is more convenient to attend than the Farm Progress Show, the outdoor show with plots has more of an appeal to me and less of a hassle to park.

Seems a little silly for people on here to blame the stadium design on the premier.
The city can still add a roof if they somehow find an extra $200 million.

Regarding Farm Progress etc. It is well known in Regina Exhibition Association circles that they don't want and don't care about Farm Progress or Agribition and could give 2 shits if they were held in Regina
When the Ex board was broke many years ago they had to sell their soul to the City of Regina to survive. The Ex board would have got rid of these "farm" events years ago because they don't make big money and they are a pain in the ass to them. However City of Regina said they stay because these events leave a huge amount of money in the city.
Thats why the football stadium is there because of the prestige and the fact it will make money IN THE CITY at every event held in it and yes the general public of Sask will help pay for it. The farm functions are left to be handled by the Ex Board thats why they are treated like toxic shit and why these events are becoming a pain in the ass to attend.Just my two cents so let it rip

Did i mention that these farm events are the glue that attracts government money to put up big new buildings on the grounds. How do you think the hockey rinks got built and the big new international centre or whatever its called is going to be built next year. Remember these are on the EX grounds.

Bucket I am not missing points, because they aren't points.

I suppose next you will complaining they didn't have your favorite doughnut at the ribbon cutting.

Brad should have known I like jelly doughnuts.

Glad it works for you; but don't pretend that you have any licence to speak for all others.

And congratulations on always bringing every "point" back to an all out personal attack.

It sure doesn't leave much left except to attack right back.

And that could well be the game plan of leadership.

Divide and conquer. Seems to work every time.

                    Sorry to hurt your feelings.

But blaming Brad Wall for things that are the responsibility of other levels of government or authority is pretty weak.

Parking and ribbon cutting ceremony organization are pretty petty things to bitch about.

                      Your right LEP.

                      I should probably apologize.

But for Wall to make the big announcement and then his cheerleaders say the other levels and ministers are responsible is a bit of a cop out.

It's like building a foundation and not putting rebar in. Small detail not seen until whole house crumbles. You have to pay attention.

Someone has to step up. The hyperbaric chamber was handled poorly. Sure Wall made the announcement but why are the people responsible not held to account?

Wall takes the time every Wednesday for riders picks ... great ... but why not take that time well wasted and drive a rural highway. He likes football so the province threw another grant at the riders in a long list of unrepaid funding. You guys realize the riders put nothing in, right? They get to call the donations of naming rights their contribution.

I have voted Sask party ... of course. No doubt Wall is a charismatic guy. He speaks well. He is well informed. That doesn't mean he should get acclaimed to run the province again without questioning what his plan is. He is got some tough times ahead and getting into federal politics may be his out not to deal with it.

And meanwhile since no one paid attention to some small details, much like alberta, they blame someone else.

You gotta give Wall a pat on the back for governing this long without a major government scandal. Do you think Brad reads the MLA's the riot act or did we just elect some pretty decent people? ( or did I miss the scandal?)

You missed the scandal. Why do you think there was a farmland review?

He kept it pretty quiet but deflected the issue well enough for the press not to look deeper.

The media loves this guy provincially and nationally. .. why do you think the question of him running federally keeps coming up?

                          It's the media promoting him.

The media used to be people like Wallin and Duffy ...so you have to look at it objectively.

Would be nice since Wall can make time Wednesday nights for premier picks and other times for gormley. ... maybe he could make time to occasionally to make a comment.

Or one of his ministers out of the many that read this site.

Bucket- Who would be your recommendation for premier?
Who is your recommendation for provincial highway minister?

Highways minister should be a seasoned roadbuilder or civil engineer that enjoys driving.

Who .... don't know but that should be a prerequisite.

Premier.... need some new blood in the sask party. Most are ready to retire from the senior positions. Haven't seen the new guys stepping up which is concerning.
