I personally can't think of someone who would be a better alternative for premier and has an idea how Saskatchewan ticks better than Wall.

As far as a civil engineer being the minister of highways, you will have to find one with good social skills that knows how to manage a $600 million budget.
They have dozens of civil engineers on the payroll already in the Ministry of Highways so I'm not sure it should be a pre-requisite.

It's easy to sit back and complain but the key is to have an alternative and solutions to what you complain about.

One way to get more out of the ministry of highways budget would be to blow up the union and hire based on work ethic and skill.

Not sure if this would be possible but this would maximize tax dollars vs what currently goes on with their gravy train.
Maybe technology will improve resurfacing of highways for our extreme temperatures as well?
Better preventative maintenance on their machinery?

The union guys have a budget set by someone else.

Don't think you can save money getting rid of unions anymore. Alberta tried it.

I like Brad and his team. But the problems we have are structural in nature. You see it in the headlines every day. The fact the three levels of government spend 25 grand per person per year and current budget deficits cover current interest cost payments at zero interest rate and annulizing health care and education is 4 % with stagnat wage increases on an already 50%taxed populas all means rock and hard spot. There is no way out.

Scandals ??? The 40 million dollar LEAN program will go down as this govt Spudco

40 million that could go into Health care instead of American Consultants - Huge waste of taxpayers money

Clean coal, clean coal clean coal I guess if you say it enough ,it turns into clean coal lol
Carbon capture, another Spudco boondoggle ,and you wonder where all the money went??

This govt seems to be able to govern with a balanced budget ONLY when oil is at $100

Bucket, I suspect if we were having a beer, we would find more to agree on than not.

I agree things are not perfect but I think they have been as good as they ever have been in my lifetime. I certainly don't think it is time for a change.

                    LEP

Agreed. Maybe that's what's missing in political circles these days is good conversations about what does need to get done.

I know I bring this up alot but different political stripes made lake diefenbaker a reality and by extension saskatchewan as it is today.

That's a vision few have today.

As I started this thread and may have said it the wrong way. But the media is asking the question of Wall.

I thought "no" meant "no" even in political circles.

It is time for someone from saskatchewan to step up to the federal level.
