    Retro TV

Sorry people, this has nothing to do marketing but I decided to have a flashback tonight and watched "Happy New Year Charlie Brown"

It was released 30 years ago...Jan 1, 1986 when I probably couldn't even grow a full beard (late bloomer? Lol)

    Things I noticed:
Old style landline phones, not cells
Mailing a letter, not texting or emailing
    Tube TVs, not flatscreens
Record players, not some digital type player
Reading a "book", not an e-reader or online
    Communicating face to face
    Going to each other's houses

By any broader measure, 30y is only a blink of an eye. Amazing how much has changed in such a short period.

Where could things possibly be in another 30 years? Or another 100 or 1000 years?

      Change....

Changes are both positive and negative, and things that change don't necessarily have the same affect for everybody.

I think every generation must think how much better or worse can things get. ...how much more can things change.

Will we ever reach a plateau in what technology can do for us?

The same technology can be both helpful and harmful.

      We live in interesting times.

Technology is a big deal today, but there are so many things our grandkids will never see like the crank telephones and the bubble lights on the Christmas tree. Those were popular 60 years ago.
