    Agree with KoldKanuck,
I lasted one year with TD, worst bank manager I ever dealt with, then when asked the Ag department for help, was ignored. Terrible farm/agri department. Some of the news guys there tried to help and got nowhere.

When I settled my father's estate, the TD was the easiest to deal with.My father had money in several bank's in GICs.With some of them you would have thought it was their money that was being withdrawn.

I deposited money into a credit union in saskatoon and the teller had to get managers approval, over $5000 ...

Good grief $5000? Makes me ant to use cash for everything, just to tick them off.

I do no that it is the law to hold back some of the cheque being deposited even when you walk in with that cheque in the bank. It is all based on your accounts or some stupid thing like that. Myself, at my bank, anything in my checking account deposited over fifteen thousand there is a hold for five business days. Any savings account we have anything over two thousand there is a hold for five business days. I would imagine there would be a hold on any type of new deposit no matter how it is done.

Bunge direct deposits funds into CU, no problems. Things are way too complicated these days, KISS.

I don't think any bank does anything competently between Dec 20 and about January 5 of any given season anyway. They're all either on vacation, watching the clock, or hungover

Because in the next few days the IMF will implement the sdr and Canada will be left out in the cold having no gold reserve but the debt will be structured "so' like they did in Weimar so the undercalaterization on debt securities will trigger the bank bail in scheme put out by flaherty. Just kidding.

I have had nothing but a terrible time dealing at TD bank. The only reason I have banked there is their extended hours, but compared to RBC it has been a battle with any wire transfer, bank draft, or even trying to withdraw $2000... they need to call the pope for any approvals . Why am I made to feel like a criminal withdrawing my own money. Any yes nearly every deposit gets some type of hold...I have quit trying to argue with them.
