I don't think any bank does anything competently between Dec 20 and about January 5 of any given season anyway. They're all either on vacation, watching the clock, or hungover

Because in the next few days the IMF will implement the sdr and Canada will be left out in the cold having no gold reserve but the debt will be structured "so' like they did in Weimar so the undercalaterization on debt securities will trigger the bank bail in scheme put out by flaherty. Just kidding.

I have had nothing but a terrible time dealing at TD bank. The only reason I have banked there is their extended hours, but compared to RBC it has been a battle with any wire transfer, bank draft, or even trying to withdraw $2000... they need to call the pope for any approvals . Why am I made to feel like a criminal withdrawing my own money. Any yes nearly every deposit gets some type of hold...I have quit trying to argue with them.

TD was bugging me to fill out some American tax papers when I didn't have any American cash with them. I took the papers to the accountant, he hadn't seen anything like it so I just filled it out the best I could since they couldn't tell me how to fill it out. They then sent it back to me from the Calgary office, so I moved the money out of there. I said, "see you later".

Have dealt with TD in every respect business and personal, never any issues. Service charges next to nothing, in fact many fees are waived with a simple phone call. Have never had any funds held no matter how big the cheques are.

Klaus they wouldn't even blink an eye over $6000.00, it doesn't add up.

The big six earn a little money on your funds while being held. This is more important now than ever because look at the oil patch loan losses they are going to have to absorb in 2016. That is why I am a bank shareholder: I let the banks do the stealing for me. Last year was the first year that bank shares in Canuckistan were not profitable so these type of shenanigans will have to escalate.

Most people do not realize there is a hold on the cheques when you deposit them. Your balance will still increase on your statement for the amount the cheque was for, however if you go on to online banking there is a Balance for that account, but before that is a Available Balance. Here is a link.

Oh, forage, i will bet you that if i bought a piece of machinery off you, and it was worth fifty thousand, I know for a fact that your bank will put a hold on my cheque.
