She'll be a mountain of gravel. There's lots of gravel east of the city. Lucky guys who have it. See, every dog has his day.

Oh yes mustard the NDP were messiahs they built all those paved roads.
Actually they built them on the cheap, I mean real cheap.
The road past my farm is a thin membrane road that was repaired two years ago. They came in and ground up the pavement and mixed in an oil and gravel mix and then repack it.
The contractor was shocked there wasn't even gravel under the pavement. This was done in the late 1970's.
Oh ya the provincial debt when Devine came in was heaped on the crowns. Saying there was no debt is BS.

as I said , "how any rural farmer can badmouth Devine " is beyond my realm of thinking . we didn't have a highway left in this country , or anything else for that matter when Devine got in . pretty easy to balance the budget when you do SFA for the people that are creating the wealth

The highways were still in good shape when Devine got in I know because I worked on building roads in the mid 70's .
Devine got in ,in 82 with the promise that ending the crow would be great for our province. The NDP took the opposite stance and said they would fight to keep it as roads and rails would be gone.....guess what they were right. But Devine won with a landslide.
Caseih it was in the 1990 to 2000's that Roads took a pounding as they weren't built to move every kernel of grain to the mainline.

The roads should have been rebuilt under Romanow but We were as close to bankrupt as Greece.
Thanks to Mullroney and Mazankowski they worked with Romanow to keep the province from Defaultng on their Loans.
That's How Close We Were
