    Crude

Poor crude oil just got a negative bid at the refiners in the states. You have to pay them 50 cents a barrel to take it.

Get used to it... the Green morality means the old private enterprize systems can NOT handle the new energy renewables... one[Carbon energy] must pay for the green transition...

Something is brewing. Quotas and command and control gov regs.

While apparently not as clear to the average Canadian voter; it appears even more evident that federal government policy is to ignore the segments of the economy that made Canada what it was up to about 14 months ago.

Sizeable chunks of Canadian territory (eg Western Canadian provinces) are being literally destroyed...and yet the punishment and marginalizing will escalate further despite their past wealth contribution.

This is apparently only seen as a negative contribution to a misguided economy of the past.
But soldier on .....and with the enlightenment provided by mind enhancing drugs, i am quite sure the leaders will pursue alternatives that are not viable without subsidy and grants and escalate pandering to those who are on unemployment; thoroughly swamped in debt and fully integrated with other programs that foster support for those who dole out funds collected from the relatively few of those who actually have tried to be entrepreneurs and productive members of the Canadian society.

Can't say that some didn't see this evolving.

As Notley and the Quebec drama teacher said, the "Green Economy" is the way of the future.
Apparently we don't need "dirty" Albertan oil or scary pipelines to move oil when we can import oil from Islamic terrorists or socialist dictators in Venezuala.

It looks like Islamic terrorists just killed 7 Canadians this past week........pass the whiskey.

The oil and gas industry was/is heavily subsidized... with all the royalty holidays or cheap royalties what else would you call it. The fact remains, it is one of the most wasteful industries around, they spend like drunken sailors and get gouged by consultants and suppliers and you name it, then when the wheels fall off the cart everyone cries "oh woe is me"... cry me a river.

Fact of the matter is though that money was circulating in the economy. It's not anymore and won't be anytime soon.

can't argue with that farma , no man is worth 2 grand a day with a pair of boots and a pickup . safety took a big chunk of their budget also , but not real safety , just people pushin paper to justify their jobs , with no thought to productivity . throwing perfectly good equip away cause it's outdated .

This is the crude reality that environmentalists and social justice warriors will learn.
Oil was paying for a lot of social programs so the choice will be increased tax levels or a reduction in social programs.....or bury your head in the sand and run LARGE deficits.

Wow, a barrel of oil is worth less than 24 beer.

What is really scary is the rest of the Commodities including grains will be due to fall in line with energy. I don't like the thought of $5.00 canola or $2.00 wheat. The grain surplus is just about as burdensome as the oil. IT might not be too bad an idea to lock in some your next years production.

So world oil prices are dropping because of over supply, what policies could the current Liberal government implement that could help the Canadian oil industry in your mind? I would be interested in hearing them!!
