Finally got to watch entire video, only caught a blip in morning. At the point, about 3rd final question, when Fareed asks how regular working-Canadians should be prepared for the new carbon economy, teacher should have paraphrased his speech. "They're ****ed".

It is interesting to see on how many issues Harper was right. We now see there really was no plan on how to deal with more refugees by the Liberals as housing problems abound. The Liberal promise to stop bombing missions looks ridiculous now. And how are the Liberals planning to diversify the economy? With infrastructure spending of course, wasn't Harper vilified by the Liberals for spending on infrastructure?
As for Alberta, the NDP talks of economic diversification. As far as I can tell their plan to do this is to shut down our coal fired electrical generation and replace it with wind and solar power. Now this will diversify our sources of power but how does generating the same electricity in a more expensive and less dependable way diversify our economy? They will also use natural gas when the sun doesn't shine and the wind doesn't blow. We have over 100 years worth of coal how many years of natural gas do we have? But change is always a good thing right?
