The law should be that when the owner ofgenetic material wants to dispose of it; the it should open up the opportunity for anyone else to take control of that product.

Sometimes it sure looks like the object is to just have something disappear so that it is one less potential competitor in the future.

if this is true , this is a crock of shit ! best yielder on our farm this year , right beside all the high priced invigours . probably one of the best clear field varieties there is . seed was about 20 % less cost to buy . chem costs was only $10/ac . 10% less N . oh and it was under seeded to a forage and a very good catch also . it will be deregistered because they can't f$&k us on it as bad as the others . as far as growing it after its deregistered , good luck with that ! try growing the old bromoxinil tolerant varieties of canola from years ago . see what happens if you get caught with some of that in the system ? no , they are doing exactly what they want and there is SFA we can do about it . and people on here stick up for them . I would like to know how they can deregister this variety , what justifications ?.?? and non GMO to boot , maybe gluten strength to low LOL

I searched for an hour on Google... with no success finding any inkling of deregistration.

AS it 45h76 is not Clubroot tolerant... it will not be around as long... and even Clubroot varieties will need new clubroot strains to be bred into them.... as the races of Clubroot change with time... causing the need to rotate and upgrade varieties in our crop rotations to stop resistance in Clubroot to the disease packages from these new varieties.

If it is not registered it will 'threaten' export markets. UPOV 91 at work. Seed industry will control seed for their own benefit. The only guys who cant see that are the ones benefiting.

I do not grow Hybred Canola seed. Again this is NOT a Upov91 issue. would have been EXACTLY the same under UPOV78.

Insanity is blaming the UPOV91 system... over and over... when it has absolutely nothing to do with the issues brought up here.
