Climate Change in Paris... CDN Delegation 383 folks...

Ezra; on 383 folks in Paris:

Canada had one of the biggest delegations in the world: 383 people.

Almost none of them were scientists or economists, though. Almost all were in the political spin business. That's what Paris was about: preening for the cameras.

So how much did it cost you and me? Well, we at the Rebel submitted Access to Information requests, and we’ve received the first reply, from the 17 people who went from Stephane Dion's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. And the numbers are shocking.

WATCH to find out, but here's a teaser:

Dion's delegates spent almost $50,000 on flights for 10 people, even though Expedia says one round trip ticket from Ottawa to Paris in November only costs about $700.

Wait until you hear how much these folks who say they hate fossil fuels spent on rental cars...

    And remember:

That's just what you paid for Dion and his crew of 17, out of 383 Canadian delegates.

But don't worry: Justin Trudeau says budgets balance themselves!"

Lets see... calculators ready... set... go!

"Taxpayers spent $282,000 to send just 17 delegates to Paris climate conference
    EZRA LEVANT
    REBEL COMMANDER"

    $16,588.24 per person... x 383 folks... equals
$6,353,294.12. I bet the total bill is well over $10M... when it is all said and done,,,....

All to spin a web... at a huge party... at our CDN taxpayers expense... burning $M of fuel... to save the world from cO2?

Tom...No doubt IF they had asked you to go, you'd have been one of the first to board the plane.

p.s. Catching onto Ezra's coattails will not be one of the smartest things you ever did.

On the other hand, ignoring reality hasn't contributed to longevity either for many...

As the environment minister recently said,

$10 Million for flights, booze, hotels, waste, photographers.
$3 billion in random pledges to curing hopelessness.

Selfie with Al Gore = Priceless

Of course the waste in dollars was inexcusable but that is what politicians do...WASTE MONEY. If they didn't spend it in Paris, they'd spend it somewhere else...guaranteed.

              Willy,

Why would I want ever desire to go to that politically correct condescending hypocritical excuse to try to save the world...

Don't put words in my mouth... I never said... and thoughts in others minds I never thought.

15 minutes with my granddaughters is worth 10 trips to Paris. My family and 3 Granddaughters were here visiting... no thought ever passed my mind that you insinuated.

              Over and Out.

Wow wilagro, when the conservatives waste money they're criminals, but when any other party wastes money, oh well that's what politicians do. Your ridiculous.

Why couldn't stefans' 17 reported back to the other 366 ? Common sense has to come back into play or..... I have a new aortic heart valve and pacemaker keeping me going and productive, so we support the AB. Heart and Stroke Fund. Buuut they send requests almost every month. I read the fine print this morning. They want to raise $2.35 million in 2016 at a cost of $1.006 million 42% ! I have read that World Visions' costs are obscene. And lastly for this thread, what percentage of our chemical costs are spent on stupid promotional gimmicks and TV ads to all viewers, 97% of whom are urban.
