    P&H 2016 crop

Still on their contract disclaimer not to use manipulator or clever delivered to their terminal.
Is this the same all over again ?
Hard to believe with all the clever sprayed around here they can still find enough to ship that was not sprayed ..
I know they are just covering their ass but will this sooner or later bite us all ? I know there is all kinds of canola getting delivered by guys who could care less. Sooner or later it will get caught and traced ?? I just hope it does not crush our pit price down the road. We all seen what happened to flax when importers slammed the door shut .

We are told Bayer will have Clever MRL's worked out in the next year or so... and come on stream with their own accord product. Strange turn... as the cereals all allow accord... why Japan and China are being this dense about using accord on Canola... when it has been used for decades already.

China manufactures quinclorac and apparently it's used a lot on rice. The MRL on rice is 20 times higher than the cdn MRL for canola. But maybe they don't consume much rice on a daily basis...
This whole thing is quite absurd. If BASF had put some effort into getting quin MRLs in place a long time ago rather than trying to sell high margin clear field canola, the canola industry would have been much better off from a sustainable point of view. Now that group 2 chemistry doesn't work on cleavers any longer, they are putting up roadblocks when a generic brought the product on.

It's only the grain co's that are worried about it.

Chlormequat chloride is used in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South America, the USA, Asia, and Russia.... point in case Ethrel has been allowed for 30 plus years but it didn't cause much of a hype so the grain companies didn't ever bring it up.

Same thing with Accord.... Besides if the excuse of "china" were true... why is Bunge... which only exports oil, not whole canola, against any canola delivered Quinclorac?
