farmaholic took the bait sorry mate no utopia anywere......fuel I think 1.08 today.
farmers get 38 cents rebate basically if its used in agriculture we don't pay the road tax but we have to pay full amount and claim it back.
Was a utopia when I was there in my youth Canadian women especially out west are mighty fine on the eye and they loved what they thought was a English accent when they found out I was a aussie it was in like Flynn as they say.
Now im old and delapitated at 52 lol ah memories of my youth
Another memory from a little place called cochin was visiting a bar full of Indians on a Friday night not a white man in sight other than the bar tender and me but again being a aussie saved my neck......was a novelty for em

another bar I nearly got in trouble was it loon lake out the middle of nowere in sask, kinda place if you didn't have a knife they would hand one to you over the bar.....
maybe it was onion lake are they nearby to each other?
sure it was loon lake
thinking I must have drank to much Canadian beer in my youth destroyed my brain cells getting forgetful lol.
I used to get off the beaten track in my travels.

Mallee the Loon Lake bar is still as rough as ever. Takes a special kind of tough to run an establishment as that. That nw corner of Saskatchewan has some of the most interesting bar experiences around. As long as you drink Pilsner and don't stare you're okay. Lol

Ahh yes mallee. That explains why you think Canada is utopian. Your memory is jaded by reaching the goals of every young man, with the help of your Aussie accent. Do you get many Father's Day cards from Canada? Lol...cheers Flynn!!
Thanks for expanding on the fuel issue. Sounds pricey in comparison but I guess when there's plenty here now and with the collapse in oil prices, I'll enjoy it while it lasts

Nobody can say with a straight face we weren't and aren't currently getting screwed over.
The u of s apparently calculated the difference in port price to inland terminal price post cwb compared to cwb times has cost Illinois loss to farmers. Is this true?
