One hot dry month of July... and the Corn price would be WAY over $6. Will be interesting to see what happens this summer!!!

I say HANG ON... I may be wrong... but being short this market... could be a very dangerous position to take!

WILL it be a dry summer?

Assured... some places it will be!

Question is... will it be on my farm!???

I agree with Tom, we cannot predict the weather. Farmers are eternal optimists. Get the grain sold, make the cash flow and stay in the game and keep working at selling for some kind of profit. I do agree it can be stressful.

Hes the same guy who says land is never going down. 3500 for mediocre dirt is the new norm. 5000 for good dirt. 100 for rent is the base.
Hes still running around bto, hope u catch him. I got a rope.

Did this futuristic fortuneteller have any skin in the game or was he just proclaiming his opinion, based on.....?

In the US drought corn reached $6.00 in the US, it was a big deal.....high price. Any amateur looking at a long term chart would have seen an exceptionally high price. What goes up must come down. We all know that the most efficient high volume producers will be successful. Thats the name of the game.
Volume will get a farmer through times of low prices or poor quality. Volume will also launch farms into mega profits in times of high prices. Some young farmers have only ever had to manage profits and minimize income taxes!
                Volume volume volume.
