    just another 20 million

Mp offices just got a 57000 additional allowance for their offices.

And before anyone says it was trudeau ....more than likely all the hands went up on both sides.

Who would decline the extra office cash.

I would like to know who (if anyone)voted against this measure.

Everyone who approved is to blame...not just a drama director; or just some former prime minister who hasn't been heard of for more than 100 days; or anyone who was or wasn't present for a particular approval vote.

As one sage once said "A plague in all their houses". And that is just an old saying and certainly not a threat to anyone.

One must be so so careful, nowadays, in word choice and so politically correct...mustn't one????

Oh I guess the supporters who asked their selected leaders to do just what has happened.
Otherwise it was just a personal decision from the equivalent of everyday dictators.

I'm not sure when it happened but I know it happened.

The world now has way more evil then good.

Couldn't even stand watching Saturday night live last night the humour was at a cave man level.

Something is seriously wrong in our society.

Ahhhhhh... No increases in office allowance since the recession in 2010... Housing and food has increased... Staff and benefits cost more... what is nasty about those who serve us and our MP's getting fair compensation... and with you folks to deal with... perhaps danger pay is needed as well! Grin!

                Background:
"OTTAWA – The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is criticizing the federal government for quietly approving a hefty increase to MPs’ office budgets.

Spokesman Andrew Wudrick says it is questionable whether MPs should get $25 million more to spend on expenses when the government is facing a large deficit.

READ MORE: Seven MPs accepted nearly $780,000 in transition allowances

The parliamentary committee that makes administrative and financial decisions for the House of Commons approved a 20 per cent increase to the office budgets on Dec. 10, pointing out they have been frozen since 2010.

Wudrick says the vote was secretive and should have been made public at the time.

The changes to the budgets take effect in April."

This is a small problem compared to the public service pensions for Public ...Union members...

$1T in reserves for pensions of union members... the total Gov debt of all Canadian Gov's... is $1.3T so really 80 percent of our outstanding debt as a country... has gone to pay for Public Union Pensions.

And the ND/ Liberal parties across Canada... are being voted in by these folks... to increase these public union member pensions in an increasing manner!

                Rather shocking...

This is a relatively small issue that deserves very little attention.

Take a look at the attachment below on the federal government budget in 2012. It gives a pretty good breakdown of revenues and expenses.

The biggest single federal costs are transfers to seniors at about 14%. Defence 8%, Public Safety 4%,Revenue Canada 3%. Health transfers are 10%.

Typical leftwing go around chuck chuck, if a leftwing gov. does it it's alright, no big deal, now if the former harper gov. had done the very same thing you would have been yelling blue murder! C'mon admit it. You would have more credibility if you would judge things objectively.

At our 'Economic Conference' in Edm on Saturday... an interesting point was made:

PM Justin has had 'the stars' align just about perfectly... to make massive shifts in our constitution/Canada.

1.) only ONE conservative based provincial gov left in Canada... Sask.

                        2) PM Justin has told the country... there will not be another election using 'first past the post' as the democratic method of selecting politicians....

                        3) We likely be offered a choice between proportional representation (Popular vote determines the number of MP's for each party) or preferential ballot determining the winner... requiring more than 50 percent to win the election.

As the constitution can now be changed, being that the vast majority of our Provincial Premiers are ND/Liberals... EXPECT HISTORIC moves on the Canadian Constitution!

Yep and it all came about because people were sick of the right's corruption and arrogance.

Wall will win this election but people will tire of his backroom deals as well.

Sheesh bucket! So it's the conservatives fault for what the liberals are doing now? I would say the biggest contributing factor to the election outcome was the leftwing media painting harper as an extremist, tyrant, etc.etc. any little thing they did was critisized and negatively portrayed. They duped the average voter. ( including you ) ( the media that is )

The committee that recommends these increases are full of conservatives that could have said something publicly in December.

They chose not to and probably voted for the increases as well.

It's a perfect storm for the conservatives now .... they can vote for anything and blame someone else.

Which is why the MRE will be done away with very quickly.

As far as harper ... his own party turned on him pretty quickly after the defeat.
