If they really believed their drivel about carbon emissions then we could solve all the world's carbon emissions in 10 years by going nuclear. And at a fraction - a tiny fraction - of the cost of all the solar, wind, biomass - you name it - bullshit. Also, the reason the NDP is against lean is that it will likely lead to a reduction in redundant jobs that are not an effective use of tax payers $....they aren't worried about the service being provided for the residents but are focused only on union jobs/fees.

Mustard I'd really like to know what you are inhaling or injecting. Nuclear is the cheapest energy source by a long stretch. The initial capital cost is steep but the operating costs are negligible and that old canard about it lasting forever is nonsense. The uranium has been in the ground in SK since time immemorial - what we should be doing is renting out the yellowcake and taking it back afterwards and then charging utilities to store it forever.

As I recall the federal budget was in surplus until your friend PM Selfie came along. Don't expect to see that one balanced again in the next 8 years.

Socialists will be socialists but if you really care about the environment the answer is simple and nukes are the answer.
