I am sure it is for wheat, and it is for grading issues. It takes a while to get enough no.1 13.5 at each companies terminal. Lots of lower protein out there.

Wheat exports from Canada have exceeded last years levels year to date. World supplies still burdensome.
We are reducing our wheat acres and what inventories we have will be labored for now.

Farmaholic - I hear what you are saying on accountability. The Grain Co's and rail lines are accountable to their shareholders - to make money. We as farmers need to hold them accountable to us but how - is governmental control our only answer... I am destroying my yard hauling Jan contracts as I type... I am part of the problem. If I demanded they be accountable and to taking my Jan contract in Jan and just showed up and delivered it would solve my problem short term but long term I am looking for a new delivery point. To be honest I need them more than they need me as an individual as group things change. Is our only answer more government? I think as producers we need to find our own solution - we need to act as a group but good luck with that because we are all competing against each other.

Can't be protein problems. The Farmgate interview said poor premiums for protein this year.
1600000 tonnes of wheat other than durum in primary elevators and not in position. That's
the problem.

Transparency would be nice to see what quality is in store and what the ships are waiting to load.
Are country elev delivering proper grades and protein for orders?
You can take 1 sample to 5 elev and get 5 dif results of grade/DDkgand prot. Are they shipping as accurately?
No universal standardized training.
