Funny how some forget what the NDP did to Saskatchewan!

I know its been one of the best winters to live in Saskatchewan. Yes this is a marketing page but Saskatchewan has a election that is on April 4. No not April 1 as some NDP would like you to believe. Vandalism at Sask party Office. Really did some one dig up a old Dude from the NDP days and have then do damage.
We had Eddie (God bless his Soul) the torch.
We had Roy and Allan and the boys.
Every teacher or Union Worker ran this province for years.
Total accomplishments in the years from the 1944 election, the Saskatchewan CCF, led by Tommy Douglas, swept to power. Since that election, the CCF/NDP has won 12 out of 17 elections and held power for 47 of 63 years (as of 2007).
And what did we get from the Great NDP?CCF.

    1. Lowest population in Canada. Every one who had kids told them to leave and head to greener pastures. Now if you were a NDP supporter you graduated Grade 12 and became a civil servant. If you flunked out you went to work for Sask Highways.
    2. Ah the potash Grab by Uncle Allan. What a great thing. This company did nothing for the live time Civil servants ran it.
    3. GMC had a factory in Regina. Yea Regina they closed under the CCF.
    4. Uranium even if we have the worlds largest supply no cant have a reactor and show the world how much power it can produce.
    5. Oil keep it in the ground its better there and some day we can use it.
    6. Blame all the F$%k ups on the few time the Gov changed and tried to change things. Unions and Civil servants tried their best to screw up the process.
    7. Land Bank. Take, buy or steal hopes and dreams so useless could farm.
    8. Kept the Natives poor because why open up the north or get them involved.
    9. Union ran the show, sit on the board of the NDP and dictate what they do.
    10. Cradle to grave NDP some were the biggest Capitalists around. All they needed was Slow supporters to do the dirty work they thrived.

Look to East and you have Manitoba who was run by the NDP since Time began. A basket case province with the highest debt per person in Canada. Great managers the NDP aren't they.
Oh wait the next experiment in what not to do in a election. Alberta the next hot bed of NDP.
One genius who will destroy a province with great potential in one short term. what's the deficit going to be oh year 10 billion.
Ah politics what a sport just remember every government makes mistakes its their philosophy that destroys provinces.
Never Again should be the slogan of this election. At least not in my life time.

yea it blows my mind , especially a farmer voting for that backwards , non progressive dictatorship outfit . I was one that had to leave sask until grant told us it was safe to come back , don't understand it all . sask under romanow/blakeney was the laughing stock of the country . Calvert seemed different but he was the only one

Here in AB the NDP is now subsidizing the petrochemical industry as things are that dire. The one difference from the SK NDP experience is that people will not be leaving AB like they did from SK in the 90's because where are you going to go? Free enterprise no longer exists anywhere on the planet. There is central planning every where.

Oh there were farmers who were big NDP supporters. They knew how to deal with the NDP and get ahead.
But if you had connections to the inner circle you had no problem. Some got land from the Land bank even if they had lots already.
Its the dumbing down effect have a low level NDP do the dirty work and the upper just sat back and laughed all way to the bank. The flunky who hit the Sask party office is probably a low level union flunky.
General hospital top hospital in Regina build in Slum surrounded by homes and apartments that NDP owned. Plains in middle of a field out side city closed thanks Roy for that one.
Ah but they were so clean.

I would challenge the fact that no one is leaving Alberta. Lots of Albertans in Sask looking for work homes etc.

              65%--Sask Party

              22%--NDP

Maybe the NDP will look like the current Liberals and PC's after the election..Gonzo...

60 years of free enterprise, Alberta's population 4 million.

60 years of socialism, Saskatchewan's population 1 million.

What OneOfMany said ....... all because we got the socialist preacher and they got the free enterprise preacher. But if you pay close attention to Manning and Douglas there really wasn't all that much to choose between them - they were really more populists than idaalogues. But look what 60 years of socialism can accomplish!

I was never politically sensitive but I do know any young person who understood they had value left for Alberta immediately after graduation. This may be high school, SIAST, or U of S. When We would visit there always seemed to be a sense of contentment and available opportunity. In the meantime in Sask there was always the status quo, subdued attitude towards the future. This is probably a farmers "delayed gratification" attitude I am not sure. I do say Saskatchewan has been a great province to raise a family. I was so keen on farming that I did not desire other means of making a living. When I was single I did run out to Alberta for a couple of winters to make extra revenue to spend on farming. Usually it was rough work with some pretty unique characters, so not very desirable long term.
Looking back I don't know if I would have been exceptionally successful in mainstream society, looking forward I am feeling pretty good about the future in Saskatchewan. Most importantly, make sure you exercise your right to vote. We are very lucky there are no armed soldiers at the poll stations and no forms of duress to chose our future.

                        Great comparison between two systems.
Hopefully the socialist rein of terror is over for good in Saskatchewan and possibly Manitoba soon as well!

We now are having former Saskatchewan residents return from Alberta.

We are now exporting out union thugs to Edmonton who have taken on roles for the Bill6/carbon taxing NDP government.

Oliver, agreed some higher up Union folks have moved to Alberta, but keep in mind that when the NDP were voted into Alberta, several politically connected PC members moved to Saskatchewan for positions in the Sask party government. This displaced contracted workers. Some of these displaced workers have to wait until after the election and see the budget to know where there next job is doing from. I just mention this to offer some balance.

Fair enough it happens both ways you are saying, either way exporting our socialist ideology "old guard" union out of province is positive for business and attitude.

Hahaha albertans coming back? To what?
                              Wall the weenie!!!
There are no jobs here, it's either oil or nothing.
Time people started realiIng we ve all been played for fools.

Have to also be more open minded the ndp of today is not ndp of yesterday although there really needs to be another party develop. Currently it's the far right and the bought off oil puppets.

Wienei wall is emberrassing us all running around for oil welfare. What about all the other people in this province? What about the screwed up freight system, elevator scams, hospitals and roads are way worse than when the ndp were running things. The little weenie nerd is running around doesn't know how to hide he fact he has nothing to show for a decade of majority and 100 plus oil

Wall the weenie I agreed with him on the carbon thing and what does the little wiener do? Not even one day in a meeting with truedough and he signs off. *** weiner is spineless.
