I heard the number 30 'for sure' and a possible 18 'additional', so I am going to say $48 billion. The West didn't vote Red, so it will have to pay for its sinful, earth-destroying ways.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to organize and separate.

Quick answer. Do you see anything positive for the country out of this budget?

      Just playing devils advocate.

      Good analysis.

If they gave us farmers a big chuck of Cash for not working or burning our land as a carbon sink. Yea that would work. Also the forests in Canada have huge Carbon sink.
But spending huge to create this vision of Green in a country that has huge oil and gas reserves doesn't make sense to me.
I would give him a thumbs up if I believed deep down he was doing something positive.

Agreed still on the same page.

And if someone would do a simple study on the reduction of tractor hours on the average farm and better technology we have adapted, someone might realize that farmers have done their part without government money.

It's time to quit being ignored.

that part I agree with. We have done our part.
Spring use to be Work ground then Work ground seeding with hoe or disc drill. Then Harrow it all again. Band in Fall.
Now one pass does it all for seeding till fall.
But we are just the grunts that do the work and get no money.
Some useless Liberal advisor with a company selling useless windmills or solar panels or geo thermal will make out like bandits.

SF3; Best post ever. My thoughts exactly.
Don't expect any carbon sink credits as that seems to be forgotten.
Where did the tree huggers go?
At least they seem to understand the carbon cycle.
              Just send billions to Africa.
Makes us all feel happy, happy, happy!!!
You can make it all right by sending big dollars a long ways away.
