So sask's prosperity was just lucky timing for the sask. party? It had nothing to do with progressive business friendly policies? Wow! In that case mb. should have had an oil boom too ( instead of a small blip on the radar ) And where's mb.'s potash industry if it was gonna happen no matter who the gov. was? It's non-existent! Enbridge wanted to build windmills in southern mb., why did the mb. gov. put the kybosh on that? ( windmills got built one mile south of the u.s. border, all up and running ) get your heads out of the sand! Oh and thanks alta and ask. for the huge transfer pmts., without them mb. would be probably 60 billion in the hole instead of 36 billion.

Found the debate online yesterday and watched it

All I can say is I am very disappointed in our current premier and always thought the opposition was just a talking puppet

When they stand facing one another yapping non stop about two different topic is just totally child like. One talk, the other should listen and then have a chance to respond uninterupted.

Fire them both if you are going to act like that.

Progressive business practice? my ass! the sask party did nothing different than the ndp except freeride went to alberta prior to the election and brought home a garbage bag of oil money to likely buy off the liberals and win the election because the ndp were dead.
They bought their puppet and that's why the expansion here resulted.

I think the moderators have to accept the responsibility of a shit debate.

4 people sitting watching 2 adults act like ****ing morons.

Even I can stop my kids from yelling like that with a quick tone.

Couldn't watch much of it. I wouldn't vote for either if they were my candidate.

I think that debate brought out the worst in Wall. I suppose if I were either of them I would have trouble just standing there listening to the other spewing rhetorical drivel.

Wall is a good speaker....but maybe only when unchallenged? Charismatic, smooth, articulated and appears generally be upbeat (maybe have to be when on the defensive).

Those portions of the debate where both spoke at once were pathetic.

Broten's body language portrayed "attack mode". Unless it was only the camera angle....he almost seemed to step out from behind his podium towards Wall when he turned to face him...

I'm just saying the NDP had the perfect system in Saskatchewan.
Cons sent there kids to Calgary or where ever to attend school or move to and most stayed there.
NDP were left and if you have cradle to grave workers in Civil servants its easy to see why population never went up but down.
Roy was a nice guy and so was Ed the Torch but nice guys finish last.
Unions ruled the province and the puppets marched to there orders.
                  Real easy.

One obvious fact big business doesn't invest in jurisdictions with NDP government, they are not business friendly plain and simple. Having said that with Canada's abrupt turn left with Justin Trudeau, all you have to do is look to Europe to see where we are going. Eventually we will have 20% VAT, higher personal tax, lacklustre economic growth and cradle to grave government programs. Have a good day:-(
