It really seems that when something like a railway is built clear acrosss a country, it is an essential service and probably should have been a public utility. All railways should be owned by the state, just like highways. Can you imagine if the government sold #1 Highway? in Canada, they were given the land and with that land grant, they should have responsibility to this country or be replaced by someone who can keep goods flowing smoothly. No company should be able to hold the country's economy hostage.
That's what the railways do.
Nationalize them. The sooner the better.
Or allow others on their rails.
David anderson said that no company wants to come here and operate on the canadian rails.
I think my next comment was bullshit and unless you write the open rights no one is coming. Moron.

If you don't use the railways then highways have to be built to rail bed standards.
It's idiotic that governments think building roads make more sense than reigning in the railways.
The trancanada between moose jaw an swift current is shit. Because of trucks hauling freight that should be on rail.
You would think Bradley Wall would realize that on his highway trips he talks about. He should watch the traffic instead of doing figuring out his football picks for the week.

I tried, really I did! Going after the CNCP Bullies... is kind of like smashing your finger with a hammer!!!
Hurts real good, Throbs like crazy... and takes some time to heal!
[Depending on how hard you swing the hammer!]
Trying to avoid such painful experiences... is the usual outcome for most rational folks!!!!

First start with Open running rights.
Then if any rail company can't perform chip away with meaningful performance standards.
Instead we get switches removed in the middle of the night so that no one will ever be able to access the siding that are stranded forever. Then in the next while a crew arrives unannounce and the "main" line gets a new chunk of rail that slices directly though in one continuous piece.
The real sad part is the town that doesn't give a shit that they will never have any possibility of rail service in the future; and the dead silence from the elected RM officials; and the ineffectiveness of the provincial government Dep't of Highways office that couldn't help in any way as all this took place.
Not to mention the defeaning silence of even every Agriviller who never even noticed this wholesale change that I'' bet was repeated about 400 times across Canada in maybe about the last 10 months.
At least a couple people did everything they could to raise awareness.
As far as I know not anyone else gave a shit. Why should anyone? Does it really matter? No one ever used it anyway? Its just an opinion that you shouldn't destroy infrastructure that is currently servicable and could only be replaced at great cost sometime in the future.
Can't we at least hold our elected officials responsible for that which happens under their watch?
A few persons are really ineffective....unless they want to destroy themselves in the eyes of the tyrants and their own peers.

"A few persons are really ineffective....unless they want to destroy themselves in the eyes of the tyrants and their own peers."
A mouthful well spoken....
applies to alot of unjust circumstances.
Just like I said before...everything is OK as long as you're bent over, but don't stand up.

I suggested to greg brkich that highway 42 be built around eyebrow to allow elevator expansion.
His reply. ... we might do that if the RMs ask after the election.
Holy **** what does he get paid for?
Here is the idea told to him early in the election campaign....
Build the highway around the town. Allow for elevator expansion. Save the shit highway they are repairing to thin membrane. Then if viterra doesn't expand call the competition bureau and force the sale of the point.
That's what government should do.
It would be like saving potash corp from BHP. It's a strategic resource.
Oops ....hat fell off.

But then how could a tariff on most of the wealth of the nation not be funneled back to the heirs of the European nobles that invested in the CPR in the first place. Stop being silly peasants and go back to your tasks. You really need to know your place.
