Now you dryland farmers notice that irrigation project you are going to help pay for right?

    1.5 billion dollar project.

Half for ag. 750 million on 100000 acres is 7500 per irrigated acre to get water to the quarter line.

130 acres X 7500 is a nice gift of 975000 per quarter. And the farmers won't put a dime in.

Can't believe people vote for this.

Country Guide article, "The Canadian Made Bottleneck" dated June 25 2014 and I doubt things would have changed much since then

      Canada: "barely" 20%
      US: about 50%
      Brazil: about 117%
      Aus: 175%--hard to believe.

      Subtitle:

The West’s grain paralysis was predictable. Canada has a Third World grain infrastructure, and it’s getting worse

And yet my mla says grain moving well.

        Just a ****ing moron.

Do the math on the current weather. Lots of guys gaining acres every day. Good acres where real yields have been gone for 5 years.

        2013 here we come.

The elevators should ge begging for grain by now. And our system just keeps downloading storage to the farm where it can't be put into the transportation system quickly.

It's putting canada at an incredible disadvantage because it can't be accessed quickly.

I know you BTOs can move grain but one boat would clean the largest guys out quickly. They load that in two days at the port. Can the BTOs move their storage in 2 days?

If it was at the tracks and graded it's at least a week closer to customers.

Bucket - Look at the damn numbers buddy. Grain by rail is moving at near RECORD levels. Just because a bunch of boats don't have anything else to load and are sitting around the port waiting for a contract or a haul doesn't mean a damn thing when ocean freight rates are ridiculously low.

Competition bureau should look at your area because no other grain company feels the return is worth the investment?! You don't think the proper ministries consulted with the elevator before the decision? Do you think maybe Vittera said they don't see any expansion of that site?

Poor poor Bucket isn't a "BTO" and those who are, are just screwing him. How about you decided how much money you think you are ENTITLED to and just tell your MLA they should give it to you. Quit your damn whinning. Get your numbers straight because right now You're coming off as an entitled asshat.

Let's see if i got this right, your sask. candidate answered your questions for the most part but your ndp candidate never answered any of your questions, gave no solutions, just said the new mla should look into it and get something done? And this ndp candidate is running in the election? Wow.

The ndp candidate was quite good about having a conversation about the issues.

But realize this ....this election is a foregone conclusion. ...Wall is back in.

We all userstand that. But they can't go in without being questioned.

And for a constituent to ask question and be told to do the work themselves is really unacceptable.

Come and see the highways if there isn't a case for some changes.

The repair bill will hit 50 million and then start over.

The cost for expansion is one tenth of that.

I called both the competition bureau and the cta about this line.

The complaints about rail service have to come from viterra.

And the competition bureau are waiting for my comments about there incompetence about allowing one company on the line creating no competition.

Rail volumes are pathetc for the winter we have had.

And boats don't come looking for a load. And hang out at the west coast of canada.

My point wasn't to bring the BTOs up but they can move grain faster than most.. I accept that. Good on them. But faster doesn't put the grain in position at the farm.

Most of it has to be at a rail line to be better than the competition ....we are going backwards.

I don't want to be or aspire to be a bto. Know a few and admire their hard work ....they will be part of my retirement plan.

Don't know where you are going with that comment.

But you should be concerned with the province dumping a million dollars a quarter for a select few that won't put a nickel of their own up.
