Your exactly right bucket. CN or CP shud be forced to replace the tracks they ripped out and profitted on. No good reason to abandon when u were given it in the first place. We are so stupid in this country it is sickening. Once things are removed they never come back or cost a fortune to resurrect.

Eyebrow still has tracks they just sit plugged for no good reason other than its only 38 car spot. And they ****ed the highway in a week last spring.
Hodgeville lost there tracks though.
Not only lost grain movement but any other potential opportunities.
Anyone notice how many fertilizer plants that have gone up that could be serviced by rail. . ?

I would be OK with some government money in it just because of saving the highways and the jobs created.
The fact the government isn't pushing these things shows they are not paying attention.
By extension they should be pushing for plans from the railways to avoid the 2013 event again.
To not ask for improvement just limits exports.
