Give me a sask party with a man of Vision like Peter Lougheed and I'll vote for him All Day Long.

What we have now is not even close

Peter Lougheed had some very sound guiding principals but he also had the luck of timing. He left Don Getty to face low oil prices and the fallout of the NEP. Lougheed built a lot of small rural hospitals that were unsustainable in the long run. He liked to spend.

Ndp is dead till they unite with the liberals and crowd to the middle. I like the Saskatchewan party but you need a viable opposition which appeals all sectors of the population. Socialists have the mantra of instigating class struggle and appealing to the unions, natives, poor, and social justice types. They had their day in May and did some good stuff under Tommy like John A did but that was many moons ago.

Mb demographics and political boundaries support perpectual ndp governments. Mb population about 1.1 million, over 700k live in winterpeg, so rual vote dont count. Inside winterpeg, seniors, government workers, unemployed, and aboriginals blindly support the ndp.

However, looks like the bums are going to be kicked out of office later this month.

That would be amazing if Selinger and crew were booted to the curb.

I used to think Manitoba would have the NDP for life but it the polls are even remotely accurate they will be toast......although it's not unheard of for polling to be way out. It looks like vote splitting might be key in Winnipeg.

                  Old NDP trick.
Get a sucker to run for the Liberals in a close seat. So then it splits with the Conservatives because no one wants a NDP to win and they win because a NDP is a NDP is a NDP.

Didn't Mr Wall give just about every public service union memeber a 23% raise plus inflation? Pay down the debt from $8B to just over $4B? and repair almost every major highway in the province after 15 years of neglect? I think he can do better but that's where the boom money went folks.
