We have a fair bit left. I would say about 40% cover still. We are north of highway 5, and the change in snow amount between the highway and us is pretty massive. On Saturday, guys were skidooing north of us ten miles without having to go around bare patches. Our forecast sure sucks. Up to 15 cm in areas expected.

We are closer to Kelvington. Had friends come up from Regina Saturday in shock at how the temp change was even possible! lol

Your frustrated with the weather again!

Is it to late to rent out a portion of your land at the $75.00 an acre you mentioned in a earlier post, or did you take it?

Why put up with the constant battle if it's beating you up so much?

In the Calgary region and east and south east - drought! Hardly any snow this winter, dry fall, and can't buy a drop of rain. Just wind, wind, wind. Might be dry in Ronski's area as well as Tom's. Most of the Peace country pretty dry too.

Not frustrated in the least. This is pretty dang normal. I just simply wonder how it can be so different in such a short distance is all. You read far too much into my words. One of these years, the dry will come back, and our area will re take it's place as THE place to farm! lol

I know the feeling freewheat we used to live in a similar small cold micro-climate. Winter day once it was -39C but only -22 4 miles to the east. We used to hang onto our snow like you, wondering why we were 3C when it was 15C in most of central Alberta. We didn't stay wet all summer as we were on sandy soil though. Saying that I see it was +21C there on Saturday while we were about +2C here in MB so I guess things can change.
Looks like another cool week here so maybe not that early of a spring?

Yep, grass, the week ahead looks pretty poor for daytime highs. Good for moving grain tho!

Enjoy, while we cringe in the icebox.
