Boyd wont be gone. Maybe he should be but he wont. might split some votes but that's all.
Budget will be a Billion in the hole. Times are getting tougher and a NDP wave wont happen in Sask.
Best road building I have ever seen is the new bypass. They worked all winter had a plan and mother nature did help out. But a Union company would just be pounding in survey stakes now not ramping up to finish.

If growth is slowing. ...is there a reason to fast track the bypass?

When grain wasn't moving in 2p13 it took until the weather smartened up before they implemented legislation.

And after today .... that bypass building will slow ....because they have a government that's easy to steal from and the electorate gave them permission to do so.

2.5 billion final cost on the bypass.

400 million for the stadium because it's in usd.

2 billion dollar deficit this year.

They have 4 years to right the ship so they will front load the mess. And hope for 75 barrel oil.

I predict a few trips to saudi Arabia kissing toe rings to do that. In which Wall will offer up potash corp to the Saudis.

          Yes I know stonepicker.

But they are going to run a deficit.

How big? Only a guess. But it makes more sense to do it early in the mandate.

Bypass has doubled in cost in the last year alone. No way they can keep it under 2 billion unless it's also front loaded with a large contingency fund.

Lol, good answer! I just think there's a lot of people in sask. that don't appreciate how far you've come as a province.. Sask. is in excellent shape compared to most other prov.'s. now if you could only get the roughriders to win a few games this year!

We will see how the Roughriders do with the Eskimo coaching staff.

                      Yes you are right stonepicker.

And I know I shouldn't dwell on the negative. But to win by acclaimation and no one can question or suggest something a little different isn't good politics or good for the province.

Besides someone had to counter SF3 campaigning. Sometimes I like to play devils advocate. He knows that.

Actually bucket is the one taking both sides keeping an open mind. Telling the reform that they will get your vote no matter what makes a situation for duds and freeriders like we have.

Are the ndp a good alternative? Far from it regarding agriculture. But so are the reform duds
                        In agriculture.

We are not in good shape. The debt has been hidden. And I agree with bucket there will be a visable or more likely under the table deal or deals to give away something to the Saudis in exchange to raise the price of oil. So in re end we will pay by giving away likely something in ag and then pay by an increase in fuel which doesn't just increase cost of your gas tank fill but every single item you buy. Fantastic for oil companies and oil workers but a death sentence for any other major development in any industry.

Ndp either have to come out and reject the old or there needs to be a new party established.
