    Seeding too early - lol

    Usually 2 days before neighbors

    Seeding too late....

    Probably 2 days after neighbors

Pretty much sums it up here the last 30 years and will most likely never change.

So people do what ever the neighbors do even if its wrong for their own farm.

But it's funny how someone starting can instill the sense of urgency.

    Do followers ever become leaders?

That's just the general armchair opinion on what's early and what's late.

I don't think anyone really follows anyone this day in age. Just an observation of a general fact.

If anything copy the "Successful" and ignore the "Failures".

Mama Nature picks the winners and losers anyway. Besides, no two years are exactly alike and what worked one year may not the next year.

Flexibility will help ensure success. You won't break if you bend....if you're too rigid you just might "snap , lose it".... that's why they call me the Champ.

Pulled my dad out of a beaver dam april 13 in 1980, was 26 plus, never did cool off, rained in july, good crop, 1981 started the same, worst crop in my time, only beat by 1938 i was told, if you can go and things look good go, lost more to late springs.
