    Phosphate with 3/4 opener?

So how are guys getting enough phosphate with these 3/4 inch openers, does it work to midrow phosphate or spread? I don t see how that works or how you wouldn't burn the seed with that narrow of an opener and then if you midrow wouldn't that be too far?

Neighbor has used 1" BG openers and mid rowed most of phos in blend with N + S, for 12 years, his crops are fine. Must be studies somewhere.

Just how much phosphate are you talking ? We used to put 80 lbs of 11-52-00 with a disc drill and no damage, so that's about 40 actual lbs.

using mes lower salt toxicity, or if you have the right tank to do it you could put acceptable rates with seed and some to the mid rows or fert knives.

Hard to believe farmers still use midrow banders. Do they still make them?

Lots of guys here with get some Phosphate in the 46 and place it there,as long as you have been maintaining a good fertility program placement isn't as key.

split apps work with either midrows or double knives would also work with other openers as long as you are getting some seed fert separation. Or you could just use a lot of Bullshit and apply liberally works for some people. Lol

On a wet year might be do able but dry don t think so. We usually go 25 to 30lbs,odd time a bit higher if soil test is bad or previous crop showed signs.
Too bad the alpine was as expensive as the seed safety thing would be great with using the narrow opener for seed placement.

Morris paired row, atom jet, or Dutch best?

we went from a morris paired row (hated that opener, crude job) to an atom jet with banding on one side, same plane . sure does a nice job and have gone to 280 # product with no problems. we are always a little on the wet side tho

Why do you think all morris equipment has Russian tags?
