Why exactly are farmers getting into these long cocking games at auction sales? Keep it in the bank you fools

Probably because it is a basic tractor??? Don't have to deal with high repair bills from untraceable electronics.....kinda like old semi's that are good but not too much electronics...
but that is a fair bit of coin for an older tractor.

Figured it would go for 100G or so , but ya that's high . Almost irreplaceable good pulling power though.

So we all agree "keep it simple stupid", old is in demand, complication adds cost and downtime/stress...soon my 5710 will be the in thing again, NO moving parts! The 2003 tandem with ZERO emissions/EGR will be worth more than newer stuff! Pre 2000 emitting but clean burning simple diesel tractors ARE worth more already.

Spring auctions are the time to sell if one is quitting..Farmers are all gung ho to go play in the dirt with some thing new..At any cost it seems..

It like a bunch of farm cats fighting over kitchen scraps at this sales this time of year

Is this when someone is supposed to chime in and say "the market is always right"?

At least that's what they tell us about the grain prices.
