    Salinity

There was a comment a few days ago about losing acres to Salinity. We have a couple problem quarters, and wondering how others are handling it. Worked up some last year, and seeded it, but not much grew. Looks pretty white this year. Was going to wait a year or two and do hay, but there are programs to help clean up saline land with hay, etc. Appreciate any thoughts.

Growing Timothy if its not too white, or tall wheatgrass if its really white are your 2 best options as they can handle it and will do well. Cropping it really just doesnt work. But if you are driving around it because its wet anyway and if its dry nothing is going, I think grass is the best answer. At least you get something.
